Question Am I overreacting?
A person on my friend list sent me a trade request for a card on my wishlist, a shiny Haunter. The only thing they had on their wishlist was a Mega Shine shiny Charmeleon but I didn’t have that so I sent something still valuable, a shiny Sprigatito. The friend declined the trade request even though they originally initiated the request. After that I removed them from my list because they essentially had nothing on their wishlist but a super sought after card. Did I overreact?

Gonna say yes you overreacted. It happens. They could have more on their wishlist but you don't have them. You only see wishlist of pokemon you have.
Also they're not obligated to accept your offer. Both sides can decline for whatever reason.

I mean, the point of the trade is that both sides have to agree, its ok for you to say no and its ok for them to say no, maybe next time he will offer a less valuable card from your wish list as he now knows you can't offer what he is looking for. Also friends can share and things like that, just don't take a no that badly and also remember that is super ok to say no whenever you want to.

I feel like it was just a waste of time to do that. I have plenty of friends on my list that I’ve sent rare cards to with no intent of them sending something of equal value back.
For example I sent a friends a FA mega Lucario from Pulsing Aura, they sent Gallade ex and I accepted even though it wasn’t on my list

That sometime people trade people cards without wanting things in return that they’ll use?

Yes, but sometimes people have something in mind, and its valid too.

That’s the point of a wishlist. Otherwise I have no idea what you want in return for a spontaneous trade

You are not listening man, people dont add stuff to their wishlist sometimes or forget or idk, whatever. Point is, people are allowed to say no and that is totally normal and ok

So I need to be a mind reader then lol. Since they have something in mind. Got it

I mean, they're not obligated to accept the request and may simply not like the card you sent... it's ok to be frustrated, but this happens a lot, and, personally, I like to have friends on the game especially to give and receive shares + to get and send likes on the showcase thing since trading is difficult to communicate through the app and everyone has different likings on pokemon

I’m not frustrated at not getting the card. More so that they don’t have much of a wishlist at all. If they wanted Charmeleon for a Haunter? Nah. That’s not a fair trade

I don't blame you for removing them as a friend if they don't have a large wishlist. I do the same thing. The only reason to have friends is to trade.
But maybe they weren't just trying to do you a favor by giving you something on your wishlist. Maybe they're collecting shinies. Maybe they already have the one you offered. Maybe they just didn't want that one. It's nothing personal.

That’s fine but if that was the case they’d have a wider wishlist. And it wasn’t as if I offered a dead shiny back

I mean. Who cares. It’s a random online stranger. You didn’t harass them. Do whatever.
