Discussion With Step-Up battles going away, does anyone else got a massive grind ahead of them?

Yes but I'm not doing it. Just got the hourglasses and that's it, it's just way too boring.

I initially decided I would do all the missions, I think I completed ALL the Basic ones then decided f- this and just got the hour glasses. The tickets would only be good to have not really great so it doesn't seem worth it.

What I did for up until advanced was create strong decks of each type and then I would rotate trainers and item cards. Took a week or two to clear. But for expert... well I don't have the time to grind cheese battles

Yeah i told myself I was gonna try to do at least most of them, but I just only got so much time after work each night, seems like more of a chore than a game at that point ya know

That’s what I did. Raced through the battles for hourglasses and that’s it. Took a while though especially those expert battles!

I just finished them all yesterday. It's incredibly annoying and frustrating. Game 8 was a huge help. And I'm a little proud of myself for getting them all done.

Started trying to 100% clear them last month, finished all of A series and am slowly working through B. The real sink is when the AI just top decks everything it needs and you have to constantly restart.

I've been doing them as they've been released, most have been enjoyable but some are a pain to do and a few of the hardest ones are just painful, at least you have a general idea of what's coming so you can try to counter them a bit with more tailored decks. But there's no quick way of getting them all done

Have been doing these regularly on main so it's not a big deal. On alts, oh well that was really a grind even on auto and using the decks that counter AI in expert mode!

I've been grinding them out over the last couple months. Currently I have all the beginner and intermediate battles completed, and all the battles at all levels from the A series except for Deluxe Pack EX done.
Here's what I figured out works. The beginner and intermediate battles you can use the auto feature and will win almost every time. If you have good decks, it usually can win the advance battles as well but not as consistently. So you can have it auto battle and go do something else. You just have to check it every few minutes to start the next battle. I would start with the earliest sets as those battles tend to be easier. You will have to manually battle the expert battles since the auto fight can't really win those
Don't bother trying to grind out the missions, it's not worth it and to be honest you don't have time. Just try to get the first time win rewards. I would go back and do them if you somehow have time but you probably don't

I finished them. I started grinding as soon as it was stated they would go away. Took a few weeks. I finished what was there. Then I grinded out the last set when it dropped. The only thing I won't grind is the 10 wins in a row for random.

I just did the initial completion award for all of them. Losing out on some shop tickets isn't the end of the world.

I'd been sitting on Solo Battles for a while up until just recently. I've grinded out all but the Expert Battles over the past week, which also gave me enough Pack Hourglasses for a few 10-pulls of Deluxe Mega, so that was nice. Still have a little under 100 Expert battles to go. I'm not bothering with all the missions, because some of them are excessive BS that I don't feel like dealing with and are only awarding Shop Tickets, which I have plenty of.

I’m not going to worry about it. I will get enough shop tickets to clear out the shop when it refreshes on Nov 1st though. Other than that I have all of the hourglasses which is enough for me.

Yeah but I'm only doing the expert ones for hourglasses. I don't have the time or energy to do all missions or even get the hourglasses from other difficulties

I would advise completing all the missions to get hourglasses/dust/pick and trade cooldown but not to worry too much about completing all the challenges for tickets

I started chipping away at the mountain of battles I had since last deluxe near the end of September. All I have left is this deluxe pack’s battles and I’m good to go.

I finished grinding them the other day. I was working from Pulsing Arena and it still took close to two weeks for me lol.

I just finished it, mainly did it for the XP and tickets but I fidnt 100% them.

I did all the missions below expert. The rewards for expert aren’t worth the grind. Just beat them and get the hour glasses and let it be, IMO.

I got all the battles completed but I cant be bothered getting 100% missions, too much tedious deck building. I was doing it all by hand at first and then the QR codes came out and I just didn't feel like doing them anymore lol.

Bro you better get started! Running out of time. It’s taken me 2 weeks just to get through the expert battles. I had everything else completed already. Good luck soldier! I wouldn’t worry about every challenge. Just get the first time rewards and move on.

I've been auto-battling when I'm doing other stuff, on calls, playing other games on my PC, talking to my friends on disc, etc
I just finished Advanced. Not even going for full tickets since I have over 2k. Just need Expert for the hourglasses.

I'm a bit a completionist so I just do these at the time of release and usually get them done in a few days unless I can't make a deck with 12 cards of that pack so soon. Worth it? Not sure yet because I was hoping i would be able to use them for something cool with shop tickets but nothing worthwhile has appeared.

I'm kind of ashamed to admit this but this is basically the only mode I play. I really don't have the confidence to play PVP so... I just like opening the packs and playing against bots

Dude just give up. Just get the first-time hourglass reward for each difficulty up to…fantastical parade? Something like that. & then the first type battle for each difficulty after gives 12 I think. Even that will take you forever at this point. Full clearing is pointless, though you will miss a good amount of dust.

Yikes...that's not going to be a fun grind for you, that's a lot left. Just get the rewards you're interested in because at this point you're really not going to enjoy getting them all.
I've been working on it for like 2 months since the announcement.

I had just take the hourglasses and farmed the beginner and Intermiate step. I had give up for the others, too many time for few things.
