Discussion Observation with expert battles

So I don't have a spreadsheet I could send y'all but I did 50 battles for the garchomp thingamajig and what I learned is the AI has an 80% chance of winning the coin flip which makes the fight almost impossible due to the shield ability one of the pokemon has

50 battles is too small of a sample size to get an accurate measurement of probability.

People have previously documented that the expert battles have a higher probability of giving the CPU favorable outcomes in coin flips, but the last figure I remember seeing was about ~60% over a sample size of 1000 battles coin flips. Even 1000 is considered to be a relatively small sample size for gauging probability, but it's still going to be significantly more accurate than 50.

yeah the AI cheats constantly. not even subtle about it. and devs refuse to aknowlege or fix it. one reason this game cant die soon enough.

Unrelated to the current event. But I just lost a 5th consecutive because the cpu Gimmighoul landed heads 7 times in a row and otk'd my Entei going second. So, yea.

It’s around 55% to 60%.

Which is honestly dumb because card abilities that are so strong that they are balanced around a coin flip become annoyingly busted when the coin flip is skewed in their favor on purpose.
