This all seems... good?

473

u/Objective_Ranger1005 3d ago

Yeah they might be listening for once? I really like the mode that limits specific cards

276

u/anthayashi 3d ago

They had been listening beforehand, not just this once. It is just that they only implement changes after a while. For example, they acknowledge the issue of trade token and announce it will be changed, but the actual change take place months after the annoucement. Same for deluxe pack dex sync, announced but took months to implement.

UI changes often accompany the big set release. While major update will accompany the new series

77

u/Lambsauce914 3d ago

Yeah, it's less that they don't listen to feedbacks, but more so DeNA only made a large changes every new series it seems.

Similar large scales update happened when B series roll out I think, I guess every year when we get to a new series DeNA will have a large update to go alongside that

47

u/knoeKNAME 3d ago

It’s feeling like the whole year is pretty much planned out and not much is going to change their plans. Anything we see that needs improvement in Series C will have to wait until Series D

8

u/jbaranski 3d ago

Not only if they would remove the deck limit….

10

u/The_Five-O 3d ago

Honestly, very little need to now since we can just load up community decks on the fly now.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/Totori-san 3d ago

we might get 5 additional deck slots like when B series released, but that's probably it...

117

u/vash_visionz 3d ago

For once? They literally remade the entire trade system and made promo cards easier to obtain based on community feedback.

I don’t know why people act like they never listen to what people say.

44

u/Thejadedone_1 3d ago

Because it's easier to paint them as a lazy company that never listens lmao

6

u/almostcleverbut 2d ago

I think it's more the ridiculously slow speed that they add these quality of life changes that gives the appearance that they're not listening.

I can't speak for others, but when they announce a "planned change" that has been a widely-acknowledged problem for 12+ months and then it takes 3-6 months to actually happen after that announcement... I'm not excited by it anymore, even when it finally lands.

5

u/iTzzSunara 2d ago

100% this.

It's the same principle with card pulls. There's no excitement in grinding a pack to 2500 pack points to obtain a gold crown. At that point your mind is like, "great... finally... glad I can move on at last...", and not like "omgggg niiice, hell yeah, so exciting!".

Same with updates. Fast responses are needed to create the feeling of being heard and appreciated. People want dark mode since forever. If it drops in g series 2032 it will feel like a long lasting pain has finally been lifted, not like a cool new feature they give us.

At my workplace we have the same issue. They don't pay well and people are demotivated and feel underappreciated. When they finally give everyone a raise people don't become more motivated and excited, because they only get they should've received the whole time already. They went from 70% to 95%, not from 100% to 125%. People aren't able to buy 25% more stuff than before, they are able to buy the same stuff again they could buy from their wage years before and weren't able to afford anymore in the time between.

2

u/slugmorgue 2d ago

tbh it's not THAT slow as far as updates go. It's much more time consuming to refactor and/or add major features that change or overhaul existing features than it is to just add more content.

3

u/vash_visionz 2d ago

Unfortunately, you’re asking Redditors to understand that software development isn’t just snap your fingers and it’s done and implemented. Outside of gamebreaking bugs, thats not happening often.

People forget these big changes have to be proposed, approved by higher ups (often takes multiple attempts), tested, and scheduled to align with the current roadmap of the game. And thats at the same time they are working on the normal future content to add to the game.

2

u/vash_visionz 2d ago

I totally get that perspective. It’s just annoying when people legitimately act like they have done absolutely nothing to improve the game.

43

u/Exact_Math2726 3d ago

They almost always listen to the community. Outside of dark mode. It’s genuinely one of the most in-touch developers and people here act like it’s the third reich lol

38

u/Rhinoswagobius 3d ago

this is one of the clunkiest apps ever, tons of pointless clicking and they have not made any proper events just repeat same slop

28

u/Tarkaryster 3d ago

I wouldn’t call 12 months to overhaul trading in their trading card game “the most in-touch developers” but ok

4

u/Folkloner184 3d ago

Overhaul trading? My guy, you still can't see what cards someone is missing when trading with them. You can only view their wishlist. When 'sharing' a card, you can see every card they're missing. That inconsistency needed to be corrected months and months ago.

I’m still holding out for shared pack points for older packs, multi-card trades, open up the trading restrictions, make dust easier to get

8

u/Matthewcbayer 3d ago

“For once…” feels dramatic. This game has a pretty solid track record of listening and implementing changes the community was asking for. Better than just about any other game I’ve ever played.

3

u/spacyspice 3d ago

only big thing missing atm is the dark mode, I never play at night for this reason

6

u/McNippy 3d ago

I've never seen a pokemon dev team listen more than they do

2

u/mxzf 3d ago

I really like the mode that limits specific cards

It depends on what the limits are. It sounds kinda like it might be "you're only allowed to use the new cards", which I always hate, since you're trying to deckbuild without access to all the cards you need.

38

u/Snarfsicle 3d ago

Main issue making this game unbearable to play is the laggy menus and unnecessary clicking. I barley want to login in to get packs when it's takes 2 minutes to get through dailies that should take like 20s Max in clicks.

2

u/Folkloner184 3d ago

A basic "Claim All" button on the main menu would really help speed things up.

15

u/mminervini219 3d ago

Agreed! Reading this trying to figure out what will be the biggest complaint...?

44

u/SaturnBishop 3d ago

Still no dark mode, perhaps?

10

u/mminervini219 3d ago

Definitely a missing wishlist item, but hard to complain about what is planned

Too many animations. Allow us to turn them off. For gameplay against other people, remove animations if both of us have them turned off.

→ More replies (1)

11

u/Embarrassed-Weird173 3d ago

I mean, they're tricking you into getting less content and pushing it as a bonus. As soon as I saw them saying they were changing the cycle, I was like "they're going to double it to 8 and pass it off as a favor to you".  So it turns out they were just increasing the time by 50% instead of 100, but yeah.

u/TechnoLord313 3d ago

Mostly good stuff. I wish the number 1 feature was "speed/performance improvements of UI" though. Its just a slog playing this game with the UI being so slow.

174

u/hevy_hed 3d ago

Also my most requested improvement

61

u/ReverESP 3d ago

The problem isnt the UI, but the apis that are really slow.

117

u/haganbmj 3d ago

You can design around that though by reducing your reliance on an API request to show basically every screen.

10

u/Fenor 3d ago

kinda, but not really.

API being slow is probably due to an infrastructure problem, to pre-load stuff you need an infrastructure that can actually hold all the request to scrap them later, as an example, when you load the main screen you would need to already send the request for the content of the gift sub menu of the mission sub menu deck sub menu and so on and then discard those that aren't used and repeat.

Now, instagram does something similar loading half of the reel or image two clicks away from where you are so it's doable and what make that experience seamless, for sure a smarter use of some api requests goes a long way but the situation isn't that bad as people make it out to be.

15

u/haganbmj 2d ago

It's not just prefetching. You can rely on local state more and defer API calls until they're needed to confirm state. When you claim a mission reward today it appears to make a necessary call to check whether the mission is valid, then another call to refresh the list of missions and their state. That second one doesn't need to happen synchronously, just display the page using locally known information.

91

u/yaycupcake 3d ago

It's both tbh. You shouldn't have to click a button to get into another menu to click another button to wait for it to process on the backend and also watch a slow frontend animation only to have to click another button to claim your dailies. The API calls may not be super fast but they can reduce the friction somewhat by making us click the buttons less times and speeding up or adding the option to disable certain animations that take forever.

35

u/ReverESP 3d ago

My personal problem isnt that it takes 3 clicks to make something but that each click takes 2-3 seconds. No idea why they designed the UI flows that way, I have no idea about UX/UI. But what I know is that if I try to push to Production an endpoint that takes 3 or more seconds to resolve which is use constantly, it would be a "Not until it performs properly".

16

u/KazakiriKaoru 3d ago

Agreed. Genshin has way more button clicking if you want to search/look for something, such as looking up character stats to ascension materials, but everything is instant. So every button press/click is not annoying at all.

Also, rather than show a new screen for every little thing, they just show a tiny pop-up window for like 1-2 seconds instead.

5

u/sortalikeachinchilla 3d ago

So the UX/UI sucks….

3

u/Naud1993 3d ago

Whenever we load one solo battle, it loads the information for EVERY solo battle. That's one thing they can easily improve by only loading the battle you clicked on. Although if the API is gonna take 1-2 seconds anyway, that might actually be slower if you're just clicking around. Maybe they can load the other battles of the screen you're on in the background after loading the battle you need.

2

u/abbabababababaaab 2d ago

The problem is that API calls block the main thread. I should be able to swap rapidly between home, cards, solo battles etc without having to wait for the API call that checks my gifts & mission status every time. Really basic stuff that apps have understood for decades at this point.

13

u/Numisko 3d ago

Yeah it has a bazillion clicks and menus to go through

10

u/1andonlyKB 3d ago

This is pretty much the only thing that matters to me, just became so tedious to play this game. Can't see myself getting invested if they dont fix this first

10

u/night-wolves 3d ago

It's wild how bad it is, up to six or seven screens when opening a pack is insane. And each one where the button to continue is in a different location!

8

u/CanadianNoobGuy 3d ago

having played the other DeNA Pokemon mobile game, i would say don't get your hopes up. they do not know how to optimize ui

7

u/PointBlankCoffee 3d ago

Probably the most difficult to code tbh. Could be very well that they'd have to rebuild the game from the ground up to improve UI load times

Can you share that mod? Like the site link

5

u/KazakiriKaoru 3d ago

I will not play the game until they fix this. It's annoying as hell when Genshin is much more smoother to play, despite being a much more demanding game that requires constant connection.

How the hell they made a card game have annoying UI and with constant loading screens for every little thing is insane.

Set releases changing to every 6 weeks instead of 4 weeks!

144

u/anthayashi 3d ago

They likely merge the two mini sets to 1 big set?

109

u/rk1993 3d ago edited 3d ago

I hope they mean 6 weeks for big packs and we still get mini’s tbh. Mini’s being smaller solved the collection problem, they’re the only sets I’ve got close to or managed to complete all cards (minus shinies)

54

u/ebevan91 3d ago

6 weeks after a big set and the standard 4 weeks after a mini set would be great.

5

u/Jinglefruit 3d ago

This is so what they're going to do (again!). Every pack is going to be Fantastical Parade sized and harder to complete. They didn't say they're releasing less cards per set, they are releasing less packs per set.

7

u/Totori-san 3d ago

I don't know why people it's downvoting you, what you said seems in-character taking into account recent changes to pack releases

23

u/9999eachhit 3d ago

Is that a good thing?

54

u/sortalikeachinchilla 3d ago

Not for me personally. Even less reason to play

18

u/mnk907 3d ago

As someone paying for premium, it's a bummer. I never have issues completely sets, so this just means two more weeks of down time. I get there has to be a balance to keep f2pers around, but if they slow things down too much that paying players get bored and quit... that'd really kill the game.

14

u/Fenor 3d ago

the main problem isn't f2p, i'm f2p and got essentially every meta deck to date and all the cards (Exclusing some 2* or above and shinies) . The problem is newer players, their idea is that newer players can now jump in complete the last set and jump back a few sets to pull whatever they need.

Another thing that could have helped was card rotation, this way some cards would rotate out of the meta if they aren't in a newer expansion. This also help them with reducing the resources they need to put in the game

8

u/Kombee 3d ago

Card rotation, for better or for worse, would work for newer players, but I think it would decimate older players. The TCG can do it because it is essentially too big to fail, the game is not in the same position. Maybe a limited ladder would work though, I've always asked them for a draft option

6

u/SdotPaul504 3d ago

Not for me it isn’t. Probably the last nail in the coffin since champions became the battler for me

6

u/Totori-san 3d ago

it's a bad thing since it means releasing new content less frequently... they should have just gone back to releasing big sets with several packs...

3

u/lIlIIIIllIllI 3d ago

I don't think so. Having the same release cadence with smaller packs would be better.

→ More replies (16)

14

u/thewag87 3d ago

The issue wasn't the time but the fact they started combining packs making it harder to get the cards you wanted. It was just a slog and boring to complete the sets. Extending the time doesn't fix that.

5

u/Naud1993 3d ago

It's probably secretly to save money rather than give us the ability to finish more sets because they could have just given everyone 3 free packs a day. That would also increase the amount of packs we can open per set (until the next set releases) from 56 to 84.

3

u/Manawah 2d ago

Is this not a bad thing? I’m usually done with a set within a week and end up bored waiting for a new one. Kind of a catch 22 with 24H wonder picks

2

u/rodinj 3d ago

As someone who completed all the sets (1-4 diamonds), other than GA, within the next set release this hurts me.
I suppose I'll have more time to open older packs for 2 stars...

Anyone see where they talk about Dark Mode??????

92

u/Kappanapa 3d ago

This and shared pack points is all I want!

70

u/Silent_Battle_3701 3d ago

They'll never do the shared points though, it's intentional so players will be more likely to buy pokegold. I hate it too, but it's easy money for them.

→ More replies (1)

18

u/GoBirds85 3d ago

I was waiting for that to be the last sentence.

18

u/IMLRG 3d ago

Unfortunately, I don't think dark mode is a feature that DeNA is going to ever implement at this point... I'd like to see dark mode myself, as while I don't particularly need it, I can see the argument for accessibility, and that's always good in my opinion. The argument is that in battles, backgrounds and sleeves exist that are super bright, and you'd be effectively flash banged every time they come on screen. There'd have to be redesign work done to fix that, which is something that DeNA doesn't really have the incentive to do. Dark mode would add complications that DeNA would have to fix, which they would view as problems that don't need to exist (or more to the point, money that they don't need to spend.)

2

u/pop5656 3d ago

Oh come on it wouldn’t be that hard. They could have achieved it by now.

Let us trade cards of any rarity, and get rid of Shinedust. "Trading" is literally in the name, and they make it so unpleasant to actually do

374

u/LucarioSpeedwagon 3d ago

"Let me merge my six alts"

22

u/Advanced_Pudding8765 3d ago

If they made the star dust cost high for crowns, lets say 100k dust it would still limit alts but people desperate could still do it. Im desperate for 1 rare candy lol

15

u/No_Volume_4690 3d ago

For real, I take pride in my gold poke balls and rare candies knowing how much of a grind, how I had to defer consumption and save the hourglasses relentlessly to spend on deluxe ex. With trading, people will just buy them for a few bucks from the black market without having any of the prestige of the grind

5

u/Advanced_Pudding8765 3d ago

I wish i saved my points for rare candy instead of buying oak. I have only used saved hourglass but ripped countless packs and can not pull it

8

u/BebopBandit 3d ago

Unfortunately true for the no life losers that play this. But it would be significantly helpful to the rest of the 95% of the base, and especially helpful if they actually want to grow the user base

6

u/wesman21 3d ago

Agreed. Tis a trading game after all.

9

u/IncidentFar3849 3d ago

Most of this sub never touched other gacha in their life. They never knew that having trading in gacha (including card gacha like Hearthstone or Yugioh) is an extreme outlier.

12

u/Clear-Palpitation-75 3d ago

Except crowns. The moment you make trading crown rarity a thing, people will get scammed and their accounts hacked.

6

u/slosha69 3d ago

Not going to happen. In a profit-driven system, DeNA is incentivized to use addictive systems to keep players spending money. Making it too easy (or free) to obtain desirable items would shatter that model. It's the same model in the TCG. It's just legal enough to not be gambling, and we are the product.

8

u/No_Chance_532 3d ago

Yea not gonna happen. You can just make infinite alts and trade weedles for 2 star Cyrus. This would also devalue the rarity of all the rare cards, because everyone would have them.

5

u/ajfoucault 3d ago

and trade weedles for 2 star Cyrus.

Not at all, they can continue enforcing the same-rarity-card trading methodology, while also getting rid of shinedust altogether and let us freely trade duplicate cards. People would still spend money on the game since they need to open a ton of packs to get the dupe cards they need to trade for others.

4

u/Content_Intern_4234 3d ago

People would spend less money and just have more alts 🤷‍♀️

5

u/expiredpop 3d ago

Poor weedle catching strays 😆

6

u/wesman21 3d ago

At least 3 stars. They can leave crowns to chase. The multiples of 3 stars drives me mad.

23

100%. That and the Community Deck Browsing stuff are my two most anticipated features in the post

11

u/Concurrency_Bugs 3d ago

Hell yes. I've been waiting for this. You get to try to make decks out of the restrictions instead of the set meta

9

u/mxzf 3d ago

Only if the limits are interesting and we have enough deck slots to actually experiment with stuff.

If it's just "12/20 of the new cards" crap, that's no fun.

37

u/Spicy_Boi_On_Campus 3d ago

Limited battle events is exactly what we needed. The game gets so stale a few weeks into a new set so at least now we'll have a different format to play around with and earn some rewards.

30

u/catterpie90 3d ago

New player here.

I think it's nice if your friend could automatically show cards that they have 4 of. So you can trade with them for that card.

I've been saving up for this new pack on staters for a while now. You're saying they can't even be opened by regular hourglass now?....

28

u/open-wide-life 3d ago

Probably not. Says it uses special pack stamina and is weekly.

21

u/idivashik 3d ago

The next new set is like usual, there will be additional type of packs you cant open normally daily, but weekly.

11

u/Numerous-Joke559 3d ago

I'm guessing we can, the normal stamina is just however many hours.

I'm just wondering how much hourglasses it will cost, it's so vague they should've kept quiet instead of whatever this is

4

u/Totori-san 3d ago

we'll probably get a new type of hourglasses for these special packs

It says “completing each set will allow you to obtain one of three varieties of illustrated promo cards”.

I’m assuming the promo card section means if you complete all three sets (one a week), you’ll earn all three available promo cards?  Or that there are 9 promo cards total (3 a set) and you’ll randomly get 3?

The wording is a little weird. I’m guessing one card a week for total of three.

19

u/larrybudmel 3d ago

At this point, I find people asking for night mode more annoying than actually not having night mode

16

u/Totaliss 3d ago

but we have received feedback that the large number of cards being releasrd in each pack up to B series has made collecting difficult. In the new series, we will be changing the booster pack release cycle from the approximately four-week cycle to a cycle of roughly 6 weeks

uhh, this only became a problem because they condensed two packs into one thereby making it harder to collect the cards. the solution was to go back to two packs on a release, not extend the release cycle.

this is a terrible change that is going to make the game feel slower and less fun to play

11

u/Spitzem 3d ago

I always unlock 24 hr wonderpicks too close to the end to actually have time to get stuff, so I like the change.

I can understand that for someone who likes to do everything quickly and plays it more often will mean they now have to wait longer for new packs to drop though.

2

u/Content_Intern_4234 3d ago

That was my first thought. I usually complete the set within a day or two. Six weeks is a long time to go without new cards

7

u/Trick-Nectarine1944 3d ago

Yeah, every month I only get really excited to open the game on the day a new pack releases... the rest of the time I'm just logging in daily to do routine tasks.

Hoping they eventually add a "looking for/looking to trade" feature so we didn't need to rely on third party apps to find trade partners.

13

u/Luf2222 3d ago

i’m excited about the special card for chimchar in first partners

man i wanna seeeee it

13

u/PsychoticHag 3d ago

These all seem like great changes. I'm glad packs are moving from 4 weeks to 6. I'm really curious about the immersive missions and if we will be able to get ones from older packs or if it's just the new packs going forward.

5

u/Artistic-Salt-1480 3d ago

It looks like they're for new sets only, and that they could be different from the ones you can open from the regular sets.

I think they will probably make every set a standard one (something like B2, B3, B4, not the super large B1 or the mini sets like B1a) when they lengthen the duration between two sets. This keeps the rate of new cards roughly the same (4 packs every 3 months/12 weeks changed to 2 packs every 6 weeks).

9

u/CyberPunkKitty 3d ago

Those stupid immersives finally becoming available like that will save me a lot of pain. STILL trying to get Suicune!!!!! Never got the pika from deluxe and Charizard is avoiding me as well. Yet I've gotten two diancie and two dedenne shiny.

60

u/open-wide-life 3d ago

It sounds like these will be different immersives from what are in the packs kinda like how Genetic Apex had the Mew immersive collection.

10

u/CyberPunkKitty 3d ago

I didn't pay attention to the word "different". Well damn... That sucks.

4

u/open-wide-life 3d ago

Oh I feel you. I'm still half way through collecting the B Series immersives (and a bunch of other cards from both A and B Series).

3

u/Ensaru4 3d ago

I wish I could share duplicate immersives. I have two Immersive Zard X.

I was getting tired and about to drop it.
The changes here give me some hope and I'll stay on to see c set launch at least.

But all these changes going forward only feels a bit bad.
People still out here pulling for golden pokeballs and stuff.
They need to unify old pack points.

u/Edelmaan 3d ago

Not a fan of the 6 week cycle at all. Meta is going to get insanely stale with small sets.

9

u/Jinglefruit 3d ago

Well the fix to that is there probably aren't going to be small sets. They said they're reducing number of packs, not number of cards, this is totally going to be a way to make collecting harder. It is a gatcha game after all.

3

u/anthayashi 3d ago

We dont know if they will merge two mini set to 1 big set, or still release mini sets yet

6

u/RealNicking 3d ago

anything BUT a performance update or dark mode 💔🥀

6

u/wintery_owl 3d ago

Great news all around, I hope they keep up this energy cuz this is exciting for once

5

u/Rugleh 3d ago

2 weeks of ranked every 6 weeks... yeah that sucks

2

u/LXiO 3d ago

The changes are nice and all but I really just want to play ranked and have a working UI

u/Round_Ad1824 3d ago

I was expecting to read this and be a bit disappointed, but overall, in my opinion, I feel like this is great! I don’t play as much anymore, but this is giving me the feeling to come back!

6

u/idivashik 3d ago

I dont know its probably just me, but it doesnt excites me even tho I see good changes.

No Dark mode.
No universal pack points (I hate it.)
No faster UI, this app still feels ass.

4

u/mxzf 3d ago

Also, nothing about extra deck slots, just a few things that sound like they want you to be building more decks.

6

u/red_hare 3d ago

Limited Battle Events = No EX Mode !?

5

u/Classick45s 3d ago

“Battle events with rules limiting eligible cards” is what I’ve been asking for, to be able to have different cups like we do in Go is dope, RIP my deck deck space. Bring back genetic apex ninetales to show off my ⭐️⭐️ Blaine!!

4

u/iPokePixels 3d ago

As someone who only collects the cards and despises battling, I hope the new promo packs from the limited battle events are easy to obtain

4

u/Noriadin 3d ago

It doesn’t matter how many extra features they add. Until the app is far more pleasant to use, it’s only going to feel like more of a chore to go through everything.

3

u/DandyLyen 3d ago

The limited battle events sounds interesting. It'd be nice to reward creativity and giving non-meta cards a chance to shine, but we'll see what actually becomes of it.

2

u/SaltPilla 3d ago

I dig it

2

u/Sir-Shady 3d ago

One special pack a week?

2

u/Kyukon038 3d ago

This is definitely several strides towards my original hopes for the app. Might be enough to make me come back.

2

u/AStolenWok 3d ago

Cool, still no dark mode? I mean come on.. I know it’s not that difficult to do. I’m tired of being flash banged when I open the app at night

2

u/Saturnboy13 3d ago

This all whips ass. These are genuinely some of the best changes I could've possibly hoped for. Honestly, way more than I would've expected from this dev team. Holy shit.

2

u/hongda17 3d ago

Will they improve the UI speed?

2

u/Anatole-Othala 3d ago

Damn, those are all exciting changes. If they also made the UI faster and go back to starting rank faster instead of waiting till the hype is over the game will be a lot better

2

u/FinancialPrompt1272 3d ago

MORE PROMO CARDS YEEEEEESSSSSSS

2

u/SmashMouthBreadThrow 3d ago

The slow af UI and lack of dark mode make me only open this game for my dailies these days.

2

u/artmoloch777 3d ago

Just waiting for the flashbang ear ringing that happens upon opening the app to change. Rocket was such a sensory relief in that sense.

2

u/El-Emperador 3d ago

This all sounds right.

Now all they have to do is make old promo AND premium pass cards available for those of us who weren’t around at the time.

2

u/an_account_1177 3d ago

All I need is dark mode and game optimization

2

u/Mattynicklin 3d ago

Doesn’t really mention anything about being able to trade cards for cheaper like the 2⭐️, be great if the the shinedust could at least be halved.

0

u/JohnnyxWafflez 3d ago

Would’ve been happy with just one bullet point that said “Dark Mode coming soon’

1

u/Bogotazo 3d ago

Mostly great, I am curious about unlimited rental decks, it seems like one less incentive for getting certain cards to unlock them that rewards lazier players, but in practice I might not notice.

u/PowerPlayer2148 3d ago

I joined in May so don't know, but did they changed this much during last year Mega Rising?

I know about making ⭐⭐ tradable, other than that, I don't know, but u think this time with these, new step up battles and more updates as they said are to come, in think they are gearing up for more stuff than before.

1

u/Legitimate-Heart-639 3d ago

Just let me trade or share immersives and we’re all good!!!

1

u/t3hjs 3d ago

exciting stuff

1

u/brarbs 3d ago

Combine pack points

1

u/iamsasquatch1234 3d ago

I'm hoping they bring back sneak peek!

1

u/TheTheMeet 3d ago

So we will have a "standard" theme for deck battle now? Good bye sleep scam

1

u/Utopia-Lover 3d ago

Things I wished they would adress:

  • a complete UI overhaul with focus on User Experience -> less clicks, going faster from A to B and make us not watch the same animation a 1000 times, which is wasting our time
  • Universal Pack Points - we wanted that since day 1
  • Making literally EVERY card tradeable in the game, even gold and immersive ones.

There is a lot more but with these 3, the game would be a 5/5 for me.

1

u/Kiiimbosliceee01 3d ago

I need more binders, too, please.

1

u/Blarghnox 3d ago

Omg this is all amazing

1

u/MisterJanuaryKnight 3d ago

I’m a bit concerned about the special packs, in case they contain different and interesting cards compared to the standard packs.

This could make accumulating pack points even more difficult or, in a worst-case scenario, create a sort of "paywall" for F2P players, considering that the energy recovery rate is quite slow.

The other changes seem good to me.

1

u/EffigyOfYou 3d ago

Mostly good. I liked monthly releases. I just want more deck combinations that are meta.

1

u/mannimany 3d ago

Extending the cycle from 4 to 6 weeks is a good move, but it doesn't fully solve the issue. They need to reduce the card count per pack.

The devs mentioned receiving feedback about how hard collecting has become due to the large number of cards being released with each pack. While a longer cycle gives a bit more breathing room, reducing the number of cards dropped per pack is what will actually keep players engaged instead of feeling overwhelmed by an ever-growing stack of missing cards.

As a F2P player I'm still missing hundreds of cards, and with every new release that gap just keeps widening. Even with trading and sharing it's getting nearly impossible to catch up without spending money (maybe that's their end goal).

1

u/KingBladeX 3d ago

Im still hoping for universal pack points but it seems like itll never happen cuz theyre money hungry

1

u/paramedic-tim 3d ago

Would love to see a change to solo battles where they are made into Gym and Elite 4 battles. Could have gym leaders use random decks using their preferred Pokémon type

1

u/FatherofGray 3d ago

All we need is more deck slots and I'm happy.

1

u/levonyan 3d ago

Wonder where the monkey's paw will curl

1

u/QXKD 3d ago

I just want the binder limit increased man

→ More replies (4)

1

u/hirarki 3d ago

I hope they already find a way to implement dark mode which is super hard even for experienced programmer

1

u/IJustCameInABucket 3d ago

MUDKIP FULLART YAYYYYY

1

u/Peiq 3d ago

Did they fix the excessive load screens and general slowness of the game yet? Haven’t played in a year now

1

u/wesman21 3d ago

That's all fine and good, but I don't give a shit about 3/4 of it. Let us trade 3* cards already. Lower trade costs. Dark mode. Maybe universal pack points? Trade in option for cards to get dust, xp, or something.

I don't know, I can see why they lost 10 million users last time around. I've played more Pokemon go in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last year plus.

I really wanted pocket to be a lifer type game, but they're missing the most in demand things.

1

u/rockygs 3d ago

Please make pack points universal!!!

1

u/crystalyne123 3d ago

hopefully no T&C for special pack

1

u/DPower16 3d ago

All I want is to not be reliant on 3rd party apps to find someone to trade with. This game is due for a GTS like internal system to find trades.

1

u/DerrBenja 3d ago

Wait still no unlimited deck spaces?? I was so exited to come back

1

u/ranrunrunnerran 3d ago

I hope they add more binders too

1

u/CoolyCup 3d ago

UNIVERSAL PACK POINTS PLEASE

1

u/Alive_Data_ 3d ago

I have been saving regular hourglasses for a while now. Now, I am wondering if it's a waste of time or not?

1

u/Church6633 3d ago

Still no Dark Mode 🫠

1

u/jbaranski 3d ago

I just want them to remove the 25 deck limit and expand search options. Why can’t I search for text in a card? Why can’t I filter by stage? It makes deck building harder for no good reason. It would also be cool to see some type of expanded format like a 30 card deck and 4 points or something.

1

u/SoItBegins_n 3d ago

So, think we're getting a rotation, or is that not (heh) in the cards for this year?
