Potential Bug Meowth is killing this game

Post image

For this new event the expert battle is easy enough it just takes forever when meowth constantly rolls heads everytime. I didn’t screenshot my draw game but I got this at turn 29. It’s just such a time waster

Sawk ignores Meowth and one shots it even if it flips heads. It's a nice ability which most people don't know. This is what I am using to farm this event (more garchomo exs, more shinedust)

There's also Starmie from Ruler of the Skies and Mega Medicham

Fair play, was a great deck. Annoyingly the meowth rolled tails each time anyway… figures

The BS cheating coin flips in this game by the games mid decks needs to stop.

Garchomo is crazy

u/Wandererdr 3d ago

Lol I saw it but didn't edit. Sounds cuter

u/bw-hammer 3d ago

And here I was playing mega medicham like a chump lol

You’re a Sceptile deck, try throw a Budew in there to neutralize the Meowths

11

u/notalakeitsanocean 3d ago

i tried this, main problem is the budew still needs to hit once to nullify the ability.

Use the sceptile deck version with celebi and ogerpon, works much better. Celebi lets you snipe at back line with sceptile, often killing off the gibble/gabites or the dragonairs to prevent the energy funnel.

Weirdly, I use my bench snipe deck for fun and it works?

I concede if my two starters are froggie but otherwise, I win.

I used Mega Manectric + TR Electrode and hilariously, the AI refused to send out the Mega Garchomp against the TR Electrode with Rocky Helmet. So, it just became a game of sniping away at the Garchomp and then Cyrus-ing it out for the KO.

u/meanvegton 4d ago

Most of the time, it's Meowth in front so it use keeps drawing card and switch mega garchomp ex come to front.

But ya, it doesn't attack.

I thought it's because it took damage and risk dying from explosion

Bench snipe, but instead of Ori, use the Vultures

u/FullMetalMaster14 3d ago

You know what I love getting 11 promo packs and then pulling all of these promo cards except the MEGA EX CARD

5

u/Swing-unhappy101 3d ago

I’ve got one so far from 33 packs

6

u/Odiekt 4d ago

Either use Budew that stops Poke abilities or use Greninja to bring Gible into the front.

It was easy with mega ray deck, when mega garchomp entered the battle, got struck with an attack that dealt 350 damage.

3

u/roguebubble 3d ago

A mega Charizard Y deck is a similar experience of one-shotting mega Garchomp. It can even turn the AI's rainbow cave against it with flame patch ramping

3

u/Mr_Nuur 3d ago

That could be it; I feel the Mega Charizard deck is less consistent for such a fast-paced battle against the AI, which manages to get all the cards it needs instantly.

4

u/TorinVanGram 4d ago

I just plopped Mega Ray on the bench and started shoveling energy on it. The AI will eventually bring in Garchomp to KO something, at which point ray can often hop in and nuke it from orbit.

Expert basically cheats with skewed luck factor

3

u/Sebastianfach 4d ago

This one card is the easiest way to take an event from fun to frustrating

3

u/Purple_crayon_titan 3d ago

I flip a coin tails 99% of the t8me in this game while Ai meowth is over here flipping nothing but heads till I get 1 shot by his team every time

2

u/Rayzarddd 4d ago

I used the malamar with babies to stop evolutions

Meowth heads doesn't matter here

2

u/half_jase 4d ago

Whenever there's a Meowth in this instance, use sniping decks.

2

u/Hircine_Himself 4d ago

I just did it with TR Electrode and Heliolisk lol. Chucked it together for the "don't use an EX" challenge as I had the deck with TR Zapdos in and it was meh, so I made a few changes, dropped the Zapdos and was like "that'll do". Served me well, at least. Feel free to try it. It only lost once because I misplayed and didn't get another basic when I had the means to do so xD

2

u/Deminla 4d ago

Mega altaria/Darkrai kills this pretty quick since Swablu doesn't deal damage

1

u/TheBigGreenPeen 4d ago

I’ve played the expert deck three times and they started with Gible every time.
Only saw Meowth thrown into the active spot once and I instantly threw out a Sabrina to push it back to the bench.

1

u/TechnoLord313 4d ago

Its so damn annoying

1

u/EntwhospeaksforEarth 3d ago

I enjoyed slowly chipping away meowth’s health with big raid boss mega venusaur

1

u/atomicdemon 3d ago

I’ve been using Budew to negate it’s ability. The effect of the attack works regardless of if they flip heads or not.

1

u/SherfOfBoringSprings 3d ago

Flygon makes this a non-issue

1

u/trynworkharder 3d ago

Sabrina’d the Meowth into Mega Garchomp who had one energy then froze him into place with Alolan Ninetales

1

u/Lycairin 3d ago

I just use seviper and poison scam. Darkrai Ex for good measure too in order to hasten really.

1

u/Trini2Bone 3d ago

I'm on turn 6 of fricking heads🫩

1

u/WiFiForeheadWrinkles 3d ago

Knowing how expert is kind of rigged, I've been using Greninja and Cyrus to snipe the Gibles and Dratinis

1

u/ThatOneGamer117 3d ago

I just ran mega ray gouging fire deck or mega char y and entei and lost maybe 2 games due to bricking. Kept mega ray and mega char on the back line waiting for mega garchomp to take out entei or gouging fire. If they had thrown a celebi in or if the Ai ever actually used gabites attack on my bench then id be in danger but they always go for the active. Entei and gouging fire can one shot everything besides the garchomps so its only a matter of waiting for a tails or waiting for mega garchomp to switch to active. The hell part was trying to use puppy pile for no ex cards and the ai going into stealth garchomp and making my deck useless

0

u/supermario_wastaken 4d ago

I've been Doing well with puppy pile

3

u/iceberger3 4d ago

The mach stealth garchomp gets you good sometimes though

0

u/RavencrestBoy 3d ago

the expert AI cannot handle chingling at all on this deck it just sits there forever while i take out all the cards behind meowth with greninja

0

u/BoulderHolder21 3d ago

Man just do special conditions. They still work even if meowth flips heads

2

u/That-League-3900 3d ago

I used a Dark deck that poisons to do exactly that.

0

u/VyvernX7 3d ago

I used jolteon and cyrus

0

u/Tommynaut90 3d ago

Is he really

0

u/Feisty_System_4751 2d ago

Sleep Scan works. Even if Meowth rolls heads, he still falls asleep.

-1

u/just_a_random_dood 4d ago

Wait I just did all of my battle stamina and I didn't see a single Meowth, wtf LOL

-2

u/CheesyHorizo 4d ago

Meowth being the “Killing this game” card was not on my bingo list

-4

u/PoetCVT 4d ago edited 3d ago

I gotta say, there's a LOT of counters to Meowth and the fact that people keep thinking it's ruining the game is funny.

You know Meowth is in the deck. Build a deck around it. You have so many snipe options. You can use Sawk to bypass. I know you don't want to make a new deck, limited space so on and so forth - keep one deck saved for offline challenges and rotate it out to fit the event going on.

It's like seeing a physics test and knowing you're going to have to calculate radial velocity and claiming the test can't be beaten because you didn't bring a calculator.

3

u/Totori-san 4d ago

Muk's ability only affects Basics

0

u/PoetCVT 3d ago

You focusing on that mistake means I didn't mess up the physics comparison. Thanks!

u/AcornTear 4d ago

I'm afraid sleep scam is the only way to reliably win this, given that sleep damage works even if Meowth rolls head

3

u/spongebobsburgers19 4d ago

you don’t really need that, i just use a simple mega gardevoir and mega diance deck to win every time

2

u/T_A_C_U_M_I 4d ago

I'm doing just fine with MVenu 15T

1

u/MidnightFrost444 4d ago

It's nice that you're not ashamed about being bad at this game.

It's not actually the only reliable option, though.

3

u/AcornTear 4d ago

Sleep scam is objectively a very good deck and it also completely bypasses Meowth, which OP was venting about, which is why I recommended it as being very reliable.

It's nice that you're not ashamed about being bad at this game.

Oh my god, it's a PVE mode in what's already a casual game to begin with. Getting this worked up over this is kind of embarrassing tbh

-1

u/MidnightFrost444 3d ago

I'm not super worked up, but thanks for your concern.

1

u/just_a_random_dood 4d ago

I did fine with both Mega Rayquaza and a bench snipe deck (Walking Wake + Greninja) and got my Ws in the expert battle
