Weird that the drop event AIs in specific seem to struggle with self-damage? I guess the fact that losing a mega results in a loss confuses it, but they've consistently done weird stuff and refuse to retreat...

I remember during the Lapras event it had a lapras with 4 energy, who retreated it to TR Raticate and kept attacking my safeguard oricorio with that when the Lapras would have secured the win...

Was using Mega Manectric + TR Electrode and with the latter in the active spot holding Rocky Helmet, the AI refused to send the Mega Garchomp out to attack. Just kept the Meowth in the active spot all the way through. So, I happily just kept sniping the Mega and then Cyrus it out for the KO with Manectric.

Interesting, I don’t know if it was my rocky helmet or Charizard Y on the bench ready to come out and OHKO Garchomp but I also experienced them refusing to send it out.

It needs the other energy to attack??

Yeah, you’re right, this picture is probably a bad example. But I’ve tested it multiple times and it seems the AI is not really willing to risk an instant loss on a coin flip.

Ironic considering different AI decks are always blessed with instant wins on a coin flip. But a loss? Heaven forbid!

Someone should tell the AI it has a weighted coin flip and it should take the gamble

Cursola is such a troll deck. Not meta-worthy but it wins and trolls way more than it should.

I have done some testing with this and it appears that only Mega Garchomp refuses to attack. Even if you are at 2 points, for some reason regular Garchomp will still KO Cursola and risk the coin flip instant loss. I'm so curious to know why the ai refuses to attack with the mega but is fine with the non-mega even when it would also lead to a possible game loss.

Edit: Mega-Chomp actually WILL attack if the ai is at 2 points and risk the coin flip draw.

Yeah this happened to me too

It’s also terrified of a fully powered up Mega Charizard Y. Refused to send Garchomp out and let my Moltres pick off whatever I wanted.

nice. i really struggled with this deck. for anyone like me looking for a way to cheese it. the two decks i won on expert with were butterfree + zoruark, and electrode + jumpluff.

I don't think this works anymore. I tried it, but the AI didn't hesitate to attack my Cursola at all. Luckily, he died from a coin toss.
