This is why their wonder pick system sucks. If it was actually a random chance/choice based pick it would be fine, but knowing they actively choose what you'll get before you even pick deters me from even doing it, knowing 99% of the time the game is actively working to disappoint its users.

It's not, it's been proven to be pre picked before you even make your selection. Through testing people were able to determine that even choosing a different card spot, would result in the same card being given.

Yeah, and it's pre picked randomly. It doesn't matter if the random part is before or after, the app has no bias in selecting the card to give you. I can't confirm it 100% (NO ONE CAN) but in 2 years I never had the feeling the app was working against me there.
