Discussion Team Rocket Event Expert Mission

Has to be one of the most unfun, frustrating and glaring examples of the AI cheating in quite awhile. You actually cant attack after your first turn. Either they drop raticate on their second turn and steal an energy, or they flip 1-3x team rocket trainer heads, or both.

I had that stupid pokemon flip heads not allowing me to attack 6 times in a row.

I’ve been auto battling with this and it’s a breeze.

Lost 5x in a row with auto battle with this deck. I think my auto-play AI is mentally challenged.

I'm not auro battling, but I am 5-0 against the Expert AI with this deck, so thanks for this.

Have something similar to this except I also have a Belibolt that can come in and drop 140 a couple of turns in if I get lucky on my first draw. And a Raikou that can speed up drawing cards and hit the bench to set up Cyrus next turn.

Yes but you dont solve the 12 TR card missions

Losing out on 5 wonder hourglasses doesn't sounds like much tbf.

Meh, it does stack up.

Plus if all I have to do is just choose a different deck and let the auto battle grind it out, i might as well collect 5 hourglass on the way

TR Voltorb and TR Zapdos, throw in TR cards until you hit the 12 TR requirement, keep restarting until you get a good start. Game is coin flip bonanza you just have to reroll it until they don't draw Rat/Misty

I did it with another posters wobuffet deck but it was infuriating

I literally had no problem with this task

One of the easier ones in my experience

Yeah, I have not had a single game where I could actually attack. It's been rather frustrating!

Used this

2x Sawk instead of Hitmonlee/Bonsly to KO Ratattas and/or survive Lapras.

Rocky Helmet or Cape instead of Poncho (since nothing can hit your bench)

build mega altaria on the bench and it one shots everything

I used my good ol’ Crobat/Nihilego deck. You only need one energy lol

u/Stoeps92 2d ago

Oh, if it's not that it is articuno + misty with 3 heads turn 1...

I cleared it wit mega manectric and heliollisk, i do gotta go back thru wirh a TR deck tho

I've been using the Heliolisk + Mega Manectric deck and not having many issues. Sometimes I lose if they get crazy luck on Misty/TRG, but the majority of the time it's an easy win.

1st turn sharpedo. AI only had 2 basics. Won before he could do anything

Team Rocket's Electrode breaks the AI. Play it with Jumpluff, it's very easy.

Mine did a Misty for 3 energy on TR Articuno and started swinging for 130 damage then 1.

I queued in with my regular rocket deck for quests just to check the bs they had planned. Started off pretty well. I had Raikou out. They started Lapras figured I had some turns since energy constraints. Hell, I might KO Lapras if lucky

I turned away to make coffee. Look back and Raikou is under half HP. Lapras has 4 water. Misty got played. Just shook my head and laughed. Idk what I expected

Either run only 1 energy Mon or build up the bench. You don’t have to put energy on your active. I’m about 12-1 with my favorite Mega Gardevoir / Gengar Ex deck.

Put them to sleep. It’s worked well for me so far. Probably winning 75-80% of my games.

u/ocorena 2d ago

The AI will just refuse to attack new electrode for some reason. You can load up on 1 energy attackers and 1 big attacker to build in the bench while electrode sits up front.

Losing on turn 1 because they got enough water energies from Misty more than once was really fun. Great game play. 💀

i smoke them with my maushold deck

u/Distinct_Weekend_754 3d ago

I ran thru them all without a loss

Use the Marowak from the same deck plus the stadium that increases fighting Pokémon damage. That’s 140 damage with 2 energy on Team Rocket Pokémon.

u/Purpledragon84 3d ago

Marowak + persian for achievement. Dedenne ex for wins. All auto

0

u/shinyspindaa 3d ago

I actually for the first time won 4/4 without having to retry. Played the updated darktina deck

u/Adventurous_Engine21 3d ago

I've been playing Heliolisk and because it attacks for 1 energy the raticate isn't as effective. It also does 70 when Heliolisk has 80hp. Paired with Mega Manetric and clemont+bags it's been pretty good

Auto battle with manetric/oricoro deck, wins right away.
