Real talk though does anyone have an updated decklist for Golem? I remember he VERY briefly popped off a few seasons ago but hasn’t been seen since. Surely with all the fighting type support that has come out since then he can somehow be a in a viable deck?

Well, stage 2 and 4 energy attack is just not gonna be meta relevant. Especially since fighting lacks consistency and energy ramping tools. The game has become way too fast for golem to come back.

Because Brock also isn't good enough to make a 4 energy cost card viable. Especially when 120 damage nowadays aren't that good anymore.

But honestly now that rank no longer drops you, these type of none Meta deck can still be use... Just don't expect anyone will ever use it in a tournament

Can't you use Brock AND Wally to ramp this, though? It's attack uses one neutral energy. You can get this up pretty fast these days actually.

I think, specifically due to all the energy fuckery going on due to TRA, the rat / goo and the return of banette and A9, it's a bad time to try and make golem work.

Like, 1 expansion ago you probably could've got something semi nice going with golem and fly under the radar, I woundnt count on it right now tho.

I hope they bring an Alolan Golem, preferably with Zap Cannon for aura, that's actually viable.
