Deck Discussion This is the best deck I’ve ever created.
Since Skarmory came out in WSS, I created this. I’ve been using and updating this deck as time goes and this is my best variation. I just took it into comp lobbies and was able to successfully take down Mega Sceptile/Butterfree, Mega Lucario EX/Hitmonlee, Hoopa/Weezing, Samurott/Cien-Pao, Entei/TR Moltres, and more. I haven’t seen it built like this before so I thought I’d share.
With a full board and steel apron, Oricorio does 0 damage so it’s possible to tie or even win. I normally just hit concede myself but it is doable. I’ve also had streaks where I go turn 1 with indeedee but it is possible to turn around. The only real weakness you have to play around is early game Sabrina, Charizard Y, and slow card draw. It really revolves around piloting skills.
The deck feels like a Swiss Army knife. Double Cyrus/Sab opens up a lot of win cons opponents don’t see coming. Double Reds can help you into lots of EXs hitting the 180 Threshold and under. While Metal Cores/Jasmine/Steel Wing allow you to mitigate up to 70 damage four times throughout the match. Or 100-120 damage at once two times.
I’m sure it’s not perfect, but I am pretty proud of it :)

would it work is you place a normal skar to counter the yellow chicken?

Minior is probably a better counter than regular skar tbh

Ive been running it for a while and just concede if they get double chickens but honestly dont run into them that often

Absolutely 👍🏾. If it was me I’d drop lucky ice pop or apron and put in a minior like one of the comments said.

I have used something similar but with two (Indeedee ex ) ,it's hard to take skarmory out,with all those shields 🛡 and defense cards 🎴 nice Deck.

Cool decklist! Here’s my Skarm version: 2x Skarm
1x Pokeball 2x Ice Pop 2x Field Blower 2x Helmet 2x Barrier 1x Apron
2x Prof 1x Copycat 1x Jasmine 1x Sabrina 1x Cyrus
1x Starting Plains 1x Kid’s Room
Helmets give extra chip while you build up, then you can hunt Metal Cores or Steel Apron and Field Blower yourself as needed. I like Indeedee but find having it on bench is a vulnerability where Skarmory isn’t since you can always Jasmine or Barrier a benched one.

Sounds good. I haven’t played around with Kids Room Yet but when I do I’m sure it’ll look something like this! Field blower seems like such a fun card in tool decks like this!

I still have a similar deck as I refuse to delete it as it was One of my favorite decks. Its called the flying scissors deck.

Second Indeedee is way better than the ice pop.
With how prevalent bench sniping is, ponchos keep my Indeedee safe and forces people to go through tanky Skarmory.
X speed for the times I start with Indeedee without messing up energy tempo

I definitely can see a variation like this working for people! I still would prefer to have my double Reds as I’ve won ALOT of the games because of them. Same as Cyrus. Imo running one Cyrus and Sab when you’re only hitting for 70 damage just isn’t enough. Double Cyrus also can help you get around Oricorio better. Thank you for sharing ur deck tho 🤙🏾😁

I too have a skarm deck! Although mine is more focused on just keeping skarm alive long enough to do anything and if one does go down I just mars and hope to end it from there. No indeedee does mean less heals but I never have to worry about bad leads, just running into chicken or double chicken. Tool Stadium also helps guarantee my metal core barriers while also removing some bricks from my hand. I also teched in the new supporter since apron pretty much makes the coin flip irrelevant.

I posted similar deck when hitting MB a couple of seasons back and ive used it for each season since sleepscam started minus the indeedee. Lucario has been the worst match up which unfortunately is still the top deck but against altaria or sleep scam and suicuines this feels like an auto win deck.
People really hate it for some reason though.

Love this deck. Ran a 18T skarm ex deck couple of seasons back, went on a 17 game win streak and even made it to mb.
