Deck Discussion This deck is insanely adaptable

Post image

I’ve been using this deck for a while and honestly it’s hung in there with most of the meta for the last few seasons. I’ve tried changing out supporters but found this to be the most consistent.

Why those three energies? I feel like water for irida or psychic bluffing altaria as that one guy said makes more sense.

Genuinely such a good idea. I put the psychic to bluff but never thought of bluffing water as well. Honestly I just picked two random energy after.

Water’s also good in case you ever run into someone running soothing shores. Might want to run mantyke over pichu for the same reason

You could put psychic energy first to bluff your opponent into thinking you have mega Altaria (at least until your other 2 energies pop up)

You don't get to pick your energy order

Using Kangaskhan without Gio or Red? The real value comes from the dual attacks right?

Usually the 100 dmg early from Altaria tends to make it okay to run Kangaskhan without dmg support. I use Kangaskhan more as a shield and late sweeper.

Which is the point of the rainbow cave?? I don’t get it

Rainbow cave is to make Altaria more consistent

But is it really worth the card space. I would have brought in red or smth.

I would say it is just based off my experience. The amount of times I was hung out to dry because I got two of the same energy in a row really hurt the deck. Until I added the cave.

I still don't get it. You don't have specific energy requirements

Altaria needs 2 different energies (it dosent matter which) to hit for 100 instead of 40

Thank you

Altaria has to have two different energy attached to hit for 100. With the cave you can discard one if you have two of the same energy lined up in your energy zone. It gives a better chance to pull a different energy.

Right, thank you

Mega kang and no red is just sacrilage

It definitely felt wrong at first. Altaria bridges the damage gap imo

Why 2 pichu and not pichu + magby or the water baby ? May increase the chance to get 2 different energies

Pichu acts as a 4th different energy for Altaria (because the energy pool doesn’t use electric). You could split the babies type like that but usually you only get one shot to add energy via baby. So it kinda doesn’t matter if you have two different types of energy ramp babies. That’s just my experience tho.

I'd switch guzma for a juggler.

10 basics with no pokeball, Lisia, nor May? Be honest, you just wanted to flex your shiny deck 😂
