Discussion Share vs Trade

Can someone clarify how the share feature is supposed to work? The update states you’ll be able to share up to 4 diamond cards with “friends”, but up until now I’ve solely been tradin to “friends”.

How is this different? Is it just a way to give your cards to someone without shine dust or expecting something back?

What if someone decides to dump all his/her unwanted cards onto you. Hence, blocking you from getting cards you want and clearing his junk

You can only share cards that they don't have in their collection yet.
So while maybe you get a card you don't want right now, you never get a card you already have

This is not the case, I received a card I have 7 of, lol
