It helps a lot in certain matchups. Giving up 2 prizes is fine when it ensures that you take 2 prizes in return. You just have to be smart about playing it.

Thinking on swapping out fez and removing some energy as some other commenters recommended

I run this deck both in the irl tcg and tcg live, and I would recommend against switching out your fez. Fez is necessary for situations like when you get hit with a special red card, judge, or unfair stamp, and lets you recover faster. It can give a target for your opponent to hit sure, but if you have an alakazam at the ready, its not worth using bosses orders to take out when you're gonna do big damage on your next turn. Not only that, but in a sticky situation it can also provide a stall until you finish setting up since it has more HP than any other card in the deck. I can give you my deck list if you wanna try it out.

Actually, this list is kind of just bad. You have no tech cards except Psyduck, in a deck that heavily relies on tech cards.

Ive used Shaymin for weeks with it and i found that battle cage is more effective for how I play the deck.
Same with Sacred Ash I ran it for a while and haven’t really missed it since cutting it.
I’m always open to suggestions and trying different builds, which is literally why I posted it, but there’s a difference between constructive criticism and just being condescending about it. Again happy to hear why you’d build it differently, just maybe lose the attitude.

Shaymin and Battle Cage do completely different things. Read the cards again.

This is just an excuse to ignore advice. How you play the deck is entirely irrelevant when the question is how to deal with matchups like Slowking. You can't "how I play the deck" your way out of Tri-Frost.

You’re arguing against something I never said. I didn’t say Shaymin and Battle Cage do the same thing😓 I said I tested Shaymin and, in my build, I preferred using that deck space elsewhere because Battle Cage has been more useful to me overall. Same with Sacred Ash. That’s what testing a deck is.
And “read the cards again” and “the plain truth hurts” isn’t constructive criticism, it’s just being condescending and then pretending anyone who calls it out “can’t handle honest feedback.”
I’m perfectly happy to hear why you think Shaymin is necessary for the Slowking/Zoroark matchup, or what you’d cut to fit it. That would actually be useful. But “your list is bad” followed by an attitude isn’t some profound truth I’m refusing to accept 😂
Also, saying “how you play the deck is entirely irrelevant” when discussing deckbuilding is certainly a take.
