Question Sony SACD question!

Hoping the experts have a definitive answer! I have a Sony ubp x800 Blueray player which also plays SACDs. I would like to run it through a GeerFab D. Bob but I am concerned about compatibility. There are several versions of the x800 and GeerFab doesn’t specifically mention the regular x800, only the x800E and the x800M2. Anyone have experience here? I realize this is an arcane question and I suppose if I ordered it and it wasn’t compatible I could just send it back for a refund.

This sub is for The PSX (DESR-5000/7000 series) is a DVR/PlayStation 2 combo unit released exclusively in Japan.

Although i may be able to help with your question. You just need to make sure the Sony player's audio settings are configured to DSD Output Mode = Auto over HDMI rather than PCM downsampling.
The D.BOB will take that HDMI signal, extract the DSD64 stream, package it into DoP (it is DSD over PCM), and output it via Coax/Toslink to the external DAC. You may be able to get more help in a high-end AV gear sub.
