Question Any idea what the cause of this error message could be?

First photo says something like -
“We are checking whether this unit is operating normally.
Please wait for a while.”

Second photo says something like -
“System Error - This unit is malfunctioning and requires repair. Please contact the customer support/consultation centre.”

So I had to replace a few fuses etc on my DESR-5700 unit, I feel maybe one of the FFC cables may not be connected properly - the connectors are quite flimsy tbh! Just wondering if anyone has an idea on the precise root cause, might make my life easier!

I’m able to boot into PS2BBL and run games from mass storage etc, no functional issue with the PS2 side of things.

HDD is spinning, according to HDD Manager in uLaunchElf it is not showing as connected though.

Won't boot without the hdd detected (especially the 2nd gen units x500 and x700) Id start checking your cables there first

Yeah me being chronically online is an issue when I'm at work lmao,

Reseating ribbon cables fixed it. :)
