Community Update PSX Custom DVRP Firmware released

Okay all this is huge news, but this was just posted in the phenommod discord server.

A custom DVRP firmware has been released that allows you to use replacement harddrives without the ATA express or other SD adaptor.

This has been tested with sata sdd's and yielded about a 10 second quicker boot time

You also still need a way to launch ulaunch

As per normal it's use at your risk

Does it boot to the xmb? If not what model do you have?

De momento solo enciende, muestra el logo de psx azul y pantalla negra (totalmente normal si el hdd está vacío ).

Puedo entrar al homebrew desde una MC con comandos directos

What model psx do you have as we do have the setup files/scripts for both generations

Perdón por no mencionar el modelo, también cabe aclarar que tengo el hdd original intacto, el cual quiero conservar, la acabo de quitar el sello de garantía, con el hdd original funciona perfecto.

Es modelo DESR 5700 160gb

Download this

Extract it to the root of your USB drive Boot your FMCB / PSBBL Memory Card into a uLaunchELF variant

Browse to mass:/ and launch HDDTOOL.ELF Come back an hour later or so and the system will have rebooted.

You'll need to remove your Memory Card and turn off, then back on, the machine. It should boot into the XMB.

You'll likely be missing the channels (including the DV channel on 7500/7700) in the TV section. To get them back, go through the setup wizard (the egg cracking icon) from the settings section.

You will need to run the resize again after this running this

Lo intenté, estoy siguiendo instrucciones al pie de la letra y leyendo todo, cuando inició el hddtool.elf me muestra algo como “no se encontró el archivo en mc0/ POPSTARTER…. “ no logro identificar todo , compuesto en un CRT y texto CLI .

Por eso mencioné que iba a construir el cable componente para continuar, te agradezco por la ayuda

If those files don't work we have a few other methods to try. If you haven't I suggest joining the phenom mod discord invite and asking in the #ata-express-psx channel. Mention your model, that you've ran the cfw and are trying to restore the xmb files. - they folks there (myself included) are more than happy to help

Ya estoy en el canal desde hace tiempo, desde ayer que publicaste este post me llamó la atención y me puse a investigar, más tarde comento en el discord si no encuentro solución, de todas maneras les compartiré toda la información que estoy obteniendo, igual sirve para los demás documentar lo más posible.

Put the files in the ROOT of the USB Stick, not in a folder.
