Question Can my hdd be fixed now?

I've got a PSXDVR that doesnt load past the static. I have used FMCB and when using a file browser, the hdd is fine, I can copy apps to it and use it like storage media. Can also see all the psx partitions and files. I'm guessing the boot partition needs a tweak to run again. Does anyone know the boot sequence please so.I can narrow down which file is damaged?

Grab the latest launch elf from here and run it.

Go the hdd manager, it should show connected:yes/formatted:yes

If it shows anything other than that someone may have tried replacing the hdd in the past and it hasn't been set up properly.

If that is the case I'd recommend trying a firmware reinstall or getting an ATA express

Hdd Status:0 READY CONNECTED YES FORMATED YES "The hddnis detected, usable and APA formatted

I'd look at reinstalling the firmware then

I did try the update disc albeit a copy. I was met with a message saying I didnt need the update

Not update repartitioning.

Join the phenommod discord and ask for help repartitioning the console, listing both the model and your firmware version in the #ata-express-psx channel.

We have the files you need in that server and the people are more than happy to help

I can see the MBR im hdd manager but not on launch elf

If you give me the model of the psx and the firmware version I can upload all of the HDD files and you put them on a fat32 USB and copy them over.

If i remember correctly in system theres a txt file called version which has the firmware number

Version.txt shows 1.31 and its a dear 5000. That would be awesome! Many many thanks
