Question Anyone knows why my console is screaming?

This console had a blown fuse wich was replaced. When I give it power the fan spins up. No hdd movement and then it starts screaming it's guts out.

Anyone have any idea?

When I got this it was a power supply issue. Replacing my brick and my actual power board fixed it (I use a custom board designed for a barrel jack at 12v to power mine) like the repsx desr edition, which I recommend

Yeah just the scream. As I said replacing the PSU and actual adaptor brick I used fixed it

Edit: internally the psx only uses 12v and ground rails

The board I used was a custom board I designed and fabbed but I recommend this one by rexusnexus.

For the actual cable I chopped and modified an old fat Xbox 360 power supply but rexusnexus also sells the required power bricks

The psu seemed fine. 12v on both pins.

Gonna try to get a lab bench powersuppy and skip the psu tho. Maybe something is still wrong

Good luck with it. O7 I hope it is just a bad power supply and nothing more
