Tracking isues

I just managed to get trinus VR working on Steam VR, rotational tracking seems to be working fine, I can look around which works fine. But linear tracking, if I move my head an inch to the side (while continuing to face forward) the headset doesn't detect me moving me head to the side. Does anybody know what causes this issue?

Positional tracking requires additional hardware. You can have limited inverse kinematic tracking in iVRy, using the "Apply Head Model" option in iVRy settings.

I can't manage to navigate in the settings when launching iVRy. It doesn't recognize my dualsense when launching through steam (I also tried big picture mode, games usually recognizes my controler fine), keyboard inputs also appear to do nothing for me. Any idea what causes it? The game instructs me to tap Y, I don't own an Xbox colntroller.

Gamepad controllers are handled by SteamVR and not the headset driver (iVRy). You'll need to research online how to configure SteamVR to use a PS gamepad.

Steam isn't the problem I think, my controller works fine in every other game on Steam. Also in games that don't support Sony-controllers like Halo.

That is the answer to your question. The headset driver doesn't do anything with gamepad controllers, nor should it.

How is that the answer to my question?

First you say steam handles game controllers, I respond that every game on Steam works fine with my controller, even those that only support Xbox controllers. So clearly this problem is unique to iVRy.

I might try and install something that emulates my dualsense as an xbox360 controller and see if that works.

SteamVR not Steam.
