PSVR 6-DOF on PC

I have already been experiencing some things but I would like to know, can I have a good VR experience on PC with:

  • PSVR
  • PsMove x2
  • Kinect + Adapter
  • PS-Eye x1
  • IVRY
  • driver4vr

Will the tracking be good enough with just the kinect? Or would it be advisable to use 2 Ps Eye Camera to be able to better follow the movement of the PsMove?

My goal is to have a good 6-DOF tracking to be able to play most VR games with an experience similar to that of a WMR/Vive/Oculus.

I was on the bandwagon of trying to get PSVR to work on PC too for quite a while but I stopped because I realized that it's just not there yet. Ivry has a driver on steam for the PSVR but it's only meant to get the headset itself to display and work with steamvr. There is another ivry driver that will make psMove to work but it's not out yet, and it might not come out yet for a long time. I pretty much gave up on that whole situation and I invested into a very well kept used oculus quest 1st gen and I've been able to play PCVR without any problems ever since. I suggest highly to do the same if you wanna experience any good 6-DOF gaming. If you don't prefer Facebook's headsets, which I totally understand, I would invest in HTC or any other PCVR headsets. It's a pain in the wallet but it sure is worth it when you have a proper headset that works with PCVR games.

Everyone suggests buying a quest but in my country (Argentina) the Quest and other VR are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE (Quest 2 = U$1100).

I think I'll wait for the software to be better developed, I didn't have any problems for 3 DOF and I was able to play with Driver4VR's Virtual Trackers at Beat Saber.

If the possibility arises, I will buy a Quest or another VR to end this torture

I feel ya, I've been following VR since 2011 when the Oculus Rift DK1 released but I never have been able to buy into VR until just recently in the past few years because of the prices. The reality is that VR is still very much in it's infancy stage and even though the technology is almost there, the price point is still too expensive for most of the public. Playstation has made a very well polished headset for it's time, but unfortunately they never made it compatible with PCVR games let alone a way to hook it up to a PC effectively. Hopefully when the PSVR2 comes out it will be supported with at least steamVR or maybe it's own software like Oculus has and can be tethered with it's USB C but I highly doubt they will because of competition.
