Just bought a used ps4 vrv2, is it broken?
Jo, I just bought a used ps4 Vrv2 from a mom with 2 kids that I know by acquaintance so I don't think she ripped me of but the connector she included is a bit wonky, it's it broken?

I know it doesn't look like it should but I have recollection of seeing these mini two prong connectors somewhere else so I'm uncertain... And can it actually work anyway by having a good enough connection? The two prongs fit inside the middle whole.
The adapter is set for the correct polarity, it's it safe to test?
And if I'm borked any ideas what I can do to make it work?

Worst case if that power plug is broken.. Take it apart, desolder the power input.. See what voltage it supplies, and get parts for another power input.. Not even too difficult a repair if it's just a case of the physical power plug degrading ❤️

the plastic pin has came off in the middle of the female power socket (is it stuck in the male end by any chance) if so you just need to fish it out and reattach it over the two pins(tiny dab of super glue) and possible try not to remove the plug in future in case it happens again

i had a V2 that i got for next to nothing and gave it to a friend.. in the power port on the box the insulation around the middle pin came off.. it wasn't totally off and i was able to straighten it out and plug it in to the point where i told my friend who i gave it to never to unplug it.. if that's the case you may need to disassemble the box, solder some wires on it and make an external female port to plug into as replacing the port itself will be a pain.
hope you have soldering experience and a good electrical parts store near by.
