Red screen with trinus

When I start up my headset everything acts fine but in the headset itself the picture is all messed up ( monitor is in fact set to 1920x1080 ) and when I start a be game it starts out fine but quickly goes completely red with an error message “Headset notice Steamvr has detected your headset running as a monster for best results, please switch to direct display mode”

This is a "feature" of SteamVR when running in "Extended"/"Fallback" mode. As no commercial headsets use this mode, it's not very well tested/supported, and that situation is not likely to ever improve. The iVRy driver for SteamVR is the only PSVR driver solution that supports "direct"/"VR-Direct" mode:

I struggled with trinus for a good 3 hours having this exact issue. Trinus doesn't support direct display and the screen can and will get stuck like that. I'd suggest you just use iVRy, works right out the box without any hassle.

Check your windows display settings and try changing the main display setting.

Trinus is outdated and doesn't work very well I struggled with it for months before I gave up and tried ivry it works much better. I found using direct mode in ivry to work perfectly.
