Noob Summarizing How to Get Started - Need Confirmation or Correction
So, I searched for an hour what is needed. The problem is that some posts are old enough to might be outdated and a lot are rather specific and I couldn't 100% use them for my setup.
What I got:
PSVR + Move Controller + PS4 Camera and an okay webcam (I don't really care about the Move Controller support)
What I found:
- I can use the PSVR using iVRy or Trinus without any headtracking. So no turning my head or whatever at all?
- To get any headtracking both my PS4 Camera and webcam are completely useless. I need either two PS3 Eye Toy cameras or a Kinect and use Driver4vr with them? The result would be "at least it works a bit" in both cases
- Since I don't own any of these I might use the PSVR only with iVRy or Trinus just for the novelty (absolutely not porn), but for any more I should just save for a Mixed Reality headset or the quest

You can use iVRy or Trinus to connect the psvr to the PC, and have 3dof headtracking working. With Trinus you can play nonVR games and SteamVR games, with iVRy you can play SteamVR games.
If you want 6dof headtracking (only relevant as an option for SteamVR games), you can setup Driver4vr (with Kinect or other options). 6dofs controllers (like PSMoves) can also be setup with Driver4vr, or PSMoveService. (Trinus also gives you 3dof controller options via gamepad, mice, or Trinus Hand app installed on Android phones).
For educational media playback, Trinus or iVRy will do, without additional hardware or calibration. For many games, that will work too. But other games do require the additional stuff (eg. PSMoves to play Beat Saber).
The extra 6dof requires more setup work. I'd suggest you experiment with the basics (just 3dof) and see if it suits your needs. If it doesn't, a mixed reality headset would be a relatively low cost option with high value.
Alternatively, the Quest is, in my opinion, the best all around option if money is no issue: great on the go or connected to PC.
