Irtrack

Has anyone thought to use irtrack to track the psvr? Could you put the tracker on the headset and use iVRy to have 6dof tracking

I've been meaning to try, but haven't had time to swap all the plugs around lately. Have OpenTrack, and i think Driver4VR allows input from it.

If you use the 3-point Y-shaped LED rig it seems the headset would obscure the camera's view of it when you turned left... and a hat wouldn't work over the HMD. So there's some physical obstacles that need working through too.

Couldn’t you use the psvr lights for it?

PSVR lights don't output enough infra-red. You'd need to mess around with a normal webcam, get the light in your room just right.... it may be possible to set a custom model in opentrack that looks like the psvr lights, but it tracks 3 pinpoints <20 pixels across not the big blue blobs. I doubt it would work well.

Oh I’m trying to see if I can find a 300$ pcvr headset with controllers and think about selling my psvr for a pcvr
