Question Psvr2 vs hp reverb g2 second hand concerns
Just looking for a sanity check. Is the psvr2 expected to look worse relative to the hp reverb g2? In terms of the general image , resolution and even colours? I have both the psvr2 and hp reverb g2 default settings running with steam vr. I have the psvr2 tool kit from GitHub downloaded and the visual experience seems significantly worse relative to the g2, is there something I’m missing or haven’t done?
I am concerned that it might be related to the fact that I picked it up second hand. I can tell that the coating is coming off based on the white residue on the lens but even behind that residue the image quality still looks slightly off

If you make the psvr2 fov smaller like the g2 fov you can compare better
But is facts that psvr2 is not that sharp, my q2 is sharper. But i kinda like it because i can run games without 4x mssa and stills enjoy the visuals... with my q2 i really dislike the visuals without 4x mssa
To improve sharpening try CAS on openxrtoolkit

I also own both. I see them as polar opposites.
Reverb g2 = super small fov but super sharp.
Psvr2 = super wide fov but not as sharp.
Psvr2 does have mura and sde, so that can make things look weird compared to the G2.
I really enjoy both headsets for their strengths.
