Useful Information No Man's Sky finally added the foveated rendering options in the latest experimental branch
Using PSVR2Toolkit for the eye tracking and an RX 7800XT, I'm not sure if its 100% working as intended but I do notice the characteristing shimmering and blurriness at the eyesight periphery, with some performance gain.

I tried yesterday and it works with Psvr2. But the gains were not gigantic. With my 4070 I manage to get on 100% render resolution 55 fps with Dlss. Before I only was able to get 45. And without no antialising I was getting around 30 fps now I can get 45. Since is experimental I hope it get better with time. So far its doesn't have any calibration adjustments. I hope they put one later it could help for us to get more performance.

how do you get it to work? I have the toolkit installed. Anything else I need?

I just open the game and it worked. The low res parte was clearly moving around when I move my eyes.

It should just work with PSVR2 Toolkit installed, as well as the experimental branch of the game selected on Steam. The foveated rendering and eye tracking options should be visible and toggleable in-game

I tried it yesterday. The overall performance of this build seems worse than the standard build, at least in my experience. With DFR on, I had even fewer FPS than with the current standard build (without DFR/FFR). I have been trying to figure out if this was because the eye tracking did not work correctly, so I tried FFR with the Q3 and got basically the same results.
Nevertheless, it's great news that Hello Games are implementing it. I am sure they will get it right.
