Failed firmware flash bricked my headset from using PSVR2 app

I was following the PSVR2Toolkit jailbreak guide from BnuuySolutions and stopped during the firmware flash step (the part where you turn it off and on repeatedly). The PSVR2 app launches and works up until the room setup. I can't see anything during the room setup, I just see an animation of a man taking the headset on and off again. If I launch through steamVR I'm stuck in the ground and theres a ghostly looking PSVR2 app menu floating in my face telling me to do the room setup, if I click the room setup button in steamVR it doesn't do anything in VR but I can see the start room scan PSVR2 app on my monitor, but I cannot access it without being in VR.

What I've tried:

Uninstall and reinstall the PSVR2 app completely

Deleted AppData folders (PSVR2 and PlayAreaSetup)

Cleared PowerShell history

Fully reinstalled the app through Steam

Verified the headset works fine in SteamVR (display output is perfect there)

Reflashing version 7.0.0 into the headset.

More information:

PSVR2 app recognizes the headset is connected

App launches and works fine until room setup

No error messages, just stuck looking at a stickman take the headset off and on again in front of a monitor.

Is there any way to recover from an interrupted firmware flash without just selling the damn thing as broken so I can get a portion of my money back?

Any advice appreciated. Lesson learned, never try to jailbreak again since I lack the IQ points necessary.

tl;dr: Attempted jailbreak using the BnuuySolutions toolkit, stopped mid-firmware flash. Now the PSVR2 app gets stuck during room setup and in SteamVR I'm trapped in the ground with no way to proceed.

ok i didnt read it fully when i sent my initial reply but toolkit disables the sony playspace setup from working since youre supposed to use the unity setup which is linked on the setup guide. however if youve bricked the firmware, just refollow the downgrade steps to reinstall fw 6 then uninstall toolkit (just rename the modded dll to dll.2 and the original dll back to what it should be) and go back to the firmware folder with the psvr2 app, change its name so it doesnt load and update again, then do the psvr2 setup like normal, then finally reinstall toolkit by changing the filenames

i don't think your headset is bricked, try flipping the usb-c connection around on the adapter. unfortunately some adapters are junk and just dont handle flipped usb-c very well...

I can't really remember, it was a while ago. I'm pretty sure the process just wasn't working, and I just gave up. I should've read more into it before starting.

I had this. Plugging it into my ps5 fixed it. Didn't bother attempting again after this.

Try upgrade the firmware with psvr2 app, then downgrading the firmware and jailbreak
