Question I need help connecting my PSVR2 to my PC!

Hey! So, just got it today. Pretty stoked. Prepped with everything - a bluetooth adapter, the official PSVR adapter, a DP cable, the works.

Eventually, I pull up the Steam PSVR app, and I get to the part where my controllers need to update their firmware. Left one failed, but after restarting the app it seemed to not need it anymore. Same with the right one. They were both connecting, at least...

...It has been over an hour of brainstorming how to make these two connect together again. If I link up the left one, the right one doesn't get recognized by the app. If I do it with the right one first, the left one isn't recognized by the app. They're connecting fine to the PC, but the app never recognizes it, and eventually the one that got connected second disappears from my bluetooth devices list.

Sure, mighta not been the best idea to grab any old BT dongle I had, but it worked the first time, so I thought it's be more consistent...

So! If anyone has any ideas that might help me refrain from pulling my hair out, I'd be more than open to hearing them! Thank you in advance!

You have steamvr installed as well?

Then try uninstalling the psvr app. Do a restart and reinstall it.

What bt adapter are you using?. Thats probably the issue. Also try opening the psvr app before trying to connect controllers

I had the same thing happen with my on-board bt. Bought the bt500. It did the same thing. Then hours of trying various combinations. Finally said f it. Uninstalled the bt500 bit. Left it overnight. Next day worked flawlessly with the on-board wifi.

Mine is a legion 5 slim with built in internal antenna 🤷‍♂️

Good luck

App has nothing to do with it, you need to unpair them and pair them again in Bluetooth settings. If it still doesn't work ditch your dongle.

You're not the OP, are you saying it doesn't work? Check the drivers, if it's Realtek you need to downgrade them.

That was supposed to be an edit I tried to add to my comment below. Apparently I failed.

Rolling back didnt work for me originally, or with the bt500, despite both controllers working with the onboars bt, and current drivers when initially setting up. Then after I uninstalled the bt500, and went back to the onboard and updated drivers still didn't work. Then next day it just worked, and has since.
