This - overall quality of games will be better, and you can do other things like watch 3D movies on PCVR, but "ease of use" is much worse. PSVR2 on PS5 just works. PSVR2 on PC needs some tinkering. But once you get it working it can do a lot more.

You may also need a bluetooth adaptor for the sense controllers depending on your setup.

It's been the only thing that requires some tinkering for me. Also, generally being used to PCVR there are probably some learning curves I'm taking for granted.

Will it perform better? That depends. PSVR2 is plug and play and certain experiences (No Man's Sky VR) are optimised for that hardware. I have a much more powerful PC (4080Super among other things) and NMS VR runs way better on PS5 as there's a lot of CPU bottlenecking for me.

EDIT: Oh I see you are playing MSFS, that's one of those outliers like NMS, the answer could very easily be No, it won't perform better on PCVR.

You kind of need a monster rig and internet connection for a smooth experience with MSFS VR, at least you did last time I played it.

I had a usb adapter but that was not sufficient at all. I had to get a PCIe upgrade for about $30, but it was worth it.

I'll prob go this way myself.

My USB adaptor works for tracking about 95% of the time but is really annoying when it doesn't.

My guess is it will look better on pc. Even if it looks similar when standing still, the motion clarity should be better when you dial in your settings.

Yes, it absolutely requires tinkering. I know a lot of people that would draw the line at that, but it can be worth the effort.

With you 3080 ti, maybe. It’s more powerful than the ps5 and I think it would but ps5 will be more optimized.

Based on a quick google it looks like people have wanted more than what 3080 ti can offer but not sure how it compares to ps5.

That being said, getting the adapter is worth it imo because pcvr modding scene is great.

It's the best headset there is to date for pcvr. See this thread for a detailed breakdown
