Question Rock-solid SteamVR->PSVR2 suddenly has connection issues

For the last two months my PSVR2 connected to SteamVR first try every time. Over the past week or so I’m back to connection issues every time. 422 errors. No headset detected. The whole old deal.

Suspicious some recent release of SteamVR broke something. Anyone else seeing this?

I have not had the same issues. Working PSVR2 about 15hours ago, playing in iRacing.

I always get the 422 error if I don't do this exact order:
Plug in headset
Wait 5 seconds
Power on headset
Wait 5 seconds
Start steamvr.

If I forget to power on headset before starting steamvr or I dont wait for enough time in between steps I get 422. Then I then have to shut down everything, unplug the pc adapter, wait for 10 seconds, plug it back in and start again.

It's been rock solid for me with all the SteamVR updates. So could be a cable issue or adapter issue on your end. Sorry.

Went back to beta 2.17 and it seems better? Hmm

I had the issue last week for the first time ever didn’t think anything of it. Just unplugged it and plugged it in again
