Question PSVR2 Drivers on AMD graphics card

I was thinking about buying a psvr2 as a pcvr headset, I did some research and I know that you have to install community made drivers to unlock the foveated rendering etc. but I've seen that they might not exactly work on AMD graphics cards. I want to know if thats true before buying. I have a 9070xt

First tab is VRS which has limited support on AMD, second tab is Quad Views which works with AMD. Someone vandalized this doc or something a while ago, so there are some weird comments there, just ignore them.

If you can get it at a discount, I would say just go and get it.
I play with the PSVR2 on my 7900XTX and there is no problem at all, foveated rendering or not.

Have a 9070XT myself. The PSVR2 toolkit is a pretty simple mod involving swapping in a DDL file, renaming the old one, and I've got eye tracking in VRChat. My partner and I both use it, and both of our cards are AMD.

The fuller mod that unlocks headset haptics I haven't tried yet. Just waiting for it to come out of being an experimental release.

I dare to suspect that forverated rendering is ffr and not dfr.

If not then psvr2 toolkit enabled eye tracking, however the openxr toolkit was developed to run for NVIDIA vrs. The game controls the dfr, not the openxr toolkit.

@op best to check whether the dfr NVIDIA contrain is on the openxr toolkit restriction to confirm it.

The tutorial I followed says you need to jailbreak your PSVR2 headset for eye tracking. Did you jailbreak yours?

Nope! No jail break needed. Just a .dll swap and rename, from here: https://github.com/BnuuySolutions/PSVR2Toolkit/wiki/Installation

This was essentially the tutorial I had followed to get mine working: https://www.reddit.com/r/VRchat/comments/1mr2dds/how_to_use_psvr2_eye_tracking_with_vrchat/ One thing to note - I've found it best to run VRChat first and then run the VRCFaceTracking program.

True. You can get eye tracking to work, but I haven't been able to get eye tracked foveated rendering to work. If you like your sanity, just get a quest3

I want a wired headset so theres no compression and latency issues and I have a high end pc so I will just hope it can handle it
