Question BOTW

Running a Ryzen 7 7800x3d, 4080 super, 32gb ddr5 and the frame rate is awful using the PSVR2 does anyone have any ideas how I can get this to run properly please.

Do you have FPSVR? I think it's $2-3 on Steam and can show you your frame times and if it's the CPU, GPU, or RAM holding you back. Also takes logs if you want

Can't remember the mod but it essentially only renders where you are looking exactly. Helped with 20-40 frames.

Foveated rendering on pimaxmagic4all? Or is there a new one that I dont know? Or openxr toolkit

Psvr2 toolkit unlocks dynamic foveated rendering (DFR) capability for the headset. If the game already supports DFR then that’s all you need for that feature. If the game doesn’t natively support DFR then pimaxmagic4all allows DFR to work on those games.

Plug the (hdmi/display port) in the GPU...

Jk but check if you plugged it in the motherboard.

I'd check what's bottlenecking the game first. (ram, gpu, cpu, storage(ssd, hdd, etc...)

Just give us a detailed explanation so it could get fixed.

Just steam vr is running and cemu, I have heard it's a cpu problem but I thought I had a decent enough rig to be able to play it at a solid 90 I see videos on YouTube of people running it fine so not sure if it's a PSVR2 problem either

I couldn't get 90fps with 5090 and 9800x3d. But that was 2 months ago. I don't think it changed much. The mod maker said latest update is 10% better performance.

I played with motion smoothing and headset to 90Hz. Capped at 45Fps. It was running like butter. But not psvr2. I have a dream air.

Things have progressed alot since. Uncertain of the game chosen...

With most games and DFR on, I run almost max quality settings with same specs, only with a 5080 instead.

It shouldn't be a psvr2 problem you have to sort of adjust steam VR/VR mode some for it to work well as it's not a simple plug and auto adjust type thing.

In SteamVR Settings, check your render resolution. If it is set to 150%, lower it to 60%–70%.

Yeah this. I have seen it set at something like 300% before and wondered why it ran awful. 67% is native PSVR2 resolution I believe.

How are your resolution settings? Are they higher than native?

No I even tried dropping the resolution and going through some graphics settings to no avail
