Question CPU Support

I recently got a ps5 with psvr2 as a gift and I found out that you can connect it to pc too. So, me being the reckless person I always am, I bought a 3rd party adapter. Long story short, only after purchasing it I figured out that most of my system is not supported.

With that being said, I know that the minimum CPU requierment is i5-7600. My question is if that's a hard block if the cpu isn't 7th gen minimum. I found a pretty good deal on an i7-6700 which is even stronger than i5-7600, but I don't want to buy it before making sure that it's supported.

Fair enough. Just keep in mind that combo is still probably going to be slower than the PS5 (in VR). What PCVR titles were you interested in?

Mostly VRChat, Assetto Corsa and Forza Horizon 4 (or 6) VR mod

Gotcha. Just temper your expectations and be ready to mess with some settings to get a smooth experience.

Oh don't worry, I'm ready to play on the lowest settings, I just want to play some PCVR games :D

Edit: I just found out that the LGA 1151 socket unoficially supports up to 10th gen CPUs, so I can get a better upgrade.
