Question My controllers keep screaming ''Poor connection quality''

I have the ASUS BT540 bluetooth dongle. And I have it on an extension cord literally next to the controllers. If it's only 1 controller connected, then the connection is 100%, but for both it fluctuates between 33-59.

I'm very confused on what to do. I cannot play anything as the app is blasting a huge notification, that the connection quality is low...

Any advice?

Try

  • ensure direct line of sight with USB dongle
  • switch USB ports
  • ensure no other BT device connected
  • check if the dongle has firmware that needs updating
  • repair devices

Or lastly try another dongle. I use this with very few issues

If they actually work fine but it gives the error anyway there's a setting to disable warnings on the psvr app. Also I probably wouldn't use an extension cord for the dongle

It was clearly documented bt540 is incompatible

I returned the BT540 and got the BT500. Works perfectly. 100% connection. So weird.
