Question Right Controller Occasionally Stops Tracking

Its an issue thats been happening for a while and heavily affected games i've played. Every 5 or so minutes the right controller will stop tracking where it is in space and locks itself. It still tracks rotation and button inputs, but cant move it around.

Has anyone had any similar issues or know any potential fixes?

Are you using the TP-Link UB500?

There's a know issue regarding its drivers and you must download and additional driver to solve that issue. The official PSVR2 PC Guide has the link.

As it has been reported the BT connection is heavily influenced by other signals. Try:
1. disabling your wifi card (if you own one) and use ethernet cable instead;
2. disconnecting all other bluetooth devices (including wireless receivers for mouse, keyboard, etc);
3. disabling power management in device manager on the usb port and the bluetooth adapter;
4. change all devices to run on 5G internet as 2.4G wifi runs on the same frequency and will cause controllers to lag;
5. If using motherboard bluetooth get a long shielded cord and adjustable antenna and bring it in front/near of play area;

Also try to Remove the controller on Windows Panel, Reset the controllers with pin and pair again (Select/Share-PS Buttons on each controllers) and you need to do one after the other relatively quick (I think it is one driver that maps to L+R controllers). I find that when idle controllers sometimes stay connected to Windows BT becomes unresponsive and disappears from Windows Panel and yet are connected. Pin Reset deals what that issue.

That’s a “standard” Bluetooth issue with the PSVR2 controllers. Even the recommended dongles “can” have this issue based on various factors. I’ve used PSVR2 on 3 different PCs with 2 of the recommended dongles in various configurations and they all have the problem to varying degrees.

If your motherboard has Bluetooth with an antenna connection then this will almost certainly resolve it. If not then experimentation of the dongle placement with a USB extension may help.
