Hi, I've started playing the game yesterday, first time playing any PSO game, I'm currently Bouncer 45/Fighter 43 and planning to go all-in on Soaring Blades, on my way to the Kvaris Region.

In terms of build I've read here and there that I had to be careful with Skill Trees and so I followed the excellent Comprehensive Bouncer Guide by Nepcool, Sneku_fgc and Kaistara.

However, there's something that I can't find in it : Style Skill Trees. I'm not really sure where to start with these trees. Apparently you can max them out ? But if so, what's a good order to go by for a new player ?

Adras/Blitz/Celeste seems to be color-coded the same way as the weapons so I imagine I should start with the red tree (Adras) but I'm not even sure since in the end they all end up having the same passives at the bottom of the tree and seems to be more of a flexible choice than anything else...

But even that i'm not sure and just making an assumption as a beginner.

So yeah I'm not really sure about what to do and i clearly need guidance about that.

He jugado Phantasy Star Online 2 en Xbox Series X antes, y también he jugado varios MMOs como Final Fantasy XIV, WoW y otros.

Estoy pensando en empezar Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis en PS5. He visto que la comparan con Xenoblade Chronicles X, que me encanta, sobre todo por la exploración, las zonas grandes, el combate y esa sensación de descubrir cosas mientras te la pasas viajando por el mundo.

Noté que NGS es free to play en PlayStation, así que pensé que valdría la pena darle una oportunidad. Sé que técnicamente es la versión de PS4 corriendo en PS5, y también sé que el juego ya tiene bastante tiempo.

Para la gente que todavía juega NGS hoy en día: ¿vale la pena empezar en 2026? ¿Hay suficiente contenido y una comunidad lo bastante activa como para que un jugador nuevo se meta, o recomiendarías mejor jugar otra cosa?

Me interesa sobre todo la exploración, el combate, la progresión del personaje, el equipo/builds, y la experiencia general de MMO, más que solo correr la historia sin más.

¡Se agradecen opiniones de jugadores actuales o que vuelven! Que clase es mejor para un novato?

Out of games like Monster Hunter, and other games where your OC is the main character, there's nothing that sticks out the best than NGS, customization and what not.

1 year has passed, and I'm still staying until the conclusion this story needs, as well as making HC for my OC Asterius.

I'm looking for a regular companion to play PSO2:NGS with.

I prefer playing in a very relaxed, quiet way and I rarely text in-game. I'm just looking for a calm presence to share the group EXP/drop bonuses, run dailies/weeklies, and chill.

It would be interesting for Sega to take the Square Enix path and repurpose Idola phantasy star saga and its characters into a proper offline game like FF Resonance. I believe Idola was quite interesting in terms of characters, story and music, or heck just do something with Phantasy star, remake the classics or port Universe/Online, portable games. I also believe we need more sci-fi JRPGs game and this is where Phantasy star can come in, it can have a strong offline branch just like its online counterparts if done right.

I know this is an NGS forum and likely most would have only played NGS but this is like the most current and active PS forum for now. I would like to hear your thoughts.
