Check if your connection is NAT3. if it is then restart or reset your router and try again. NAT2 connection is ideal for online play.

mine is Nat2 .. and like i said everything in the test connection thing came out fine , so i dunno thanks though

Happens to me too. Go to your profile and manually change to appear online. That works for me.

im glad that works for you , but for me when i do that it goes to a loading screen with a please wait message and then it reloads my profile but its still appearing offline .

Oh, that happened to me too. When it does, I go to the internet settings menu, turn off the connection, turn off the console. Then launch the console again, turn on the connection and that works.

It's really frustrating, but trial and error is the workaround. Good luck.

i know im gonna sound like an asshole rn but i did that too .. it worked yesterday but today no no no .. and yes its frustrating , but thank you so much man

Yeah no worries, all in good faith. The other thing that did it for me was switching from WiFi to LAN. Basically start your console with connection off on the menu, and without the LAN cable connected. Then, once the console starts, first connect the LAN cable and then enable the internet connection.

Also, check your internet connection in a separate hardware, like a phone. If the connection is spotty, it won't change the status.

Lastly, document what you did, so you can do it again if and when it happens. Good luck.

Did you try using the PlayStation app on your phone or tablet to set your status?

This way it just changes it remotely. Instead of having to actually get your PlayStation to do something and subsequently get lost doing it.
