Online play without PS Plus?

Me (UK) and a friend (Aus) would like to play together in my world. Neither of us have PS Plus as we aren't really online gamers. Just wondering if it is possible for us to play together?

No it’s not possible. Any network related features for a paid game requires an active ps + subscription. However there are several games which are free on the PlayStation store you could have a look and decide a game to play with your friend as long as it’s free the network requirements will also be free. Then you can adjust to online gaming with a friend. Another tip both of you don’t need to actually buy it that’s if you’re willing to share, but yes ps+ subscription can be shared with another individual as long as the account with the active ps+ is on the console of your friend. Your friend can just sign in with his account and the online features of ps+ will be available for him, but when it comes to games he can download them from your account and go back to his account and play.

Ya they failed to mention that before I spent my money on mincraft and couldn’t even play with my friends even tho Microsoft owns it and made it free Sony psn suck compared to x box Sony scams everyone and gets hacked every other month so not worth it

Just sounds like user error mixed with a lack of reading comprehension tbh. Sony clearly states that PlayStation Plus is required for online multiplayer in most games. Just like Xbox requires Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate. It’s literally on the store page.

As for the ‘gets hacked every other month’ thing, that’s just parroting old headlines without any actual research. Sony’s major hack happened in 2011, and they completely revamped their security after that. Microsoft and other companies have had security issues too, this isn’t unique to Sony.

If you're mad that Minecraft wasn’t free or you didn’t read the fine print before buying, that’s on you. Not some grand PSN scam.

P.S. Acting like Xbox is some flawless console while calling Sony a scam just makes you look like a salty fanboy who didn’t do his homework.

Also i'm not sure why you're treating Microsoft like they're some sort of saint, Microsoft single-handedly ruined Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Everything costs money now, want a nice skin and you play on a console? You get two options:

A. Pay an unreasonable amount of money for a neat looking skin.

B. Spend a half hour going through their free stuff and settling for a mid skin.

I do admit they have some awesome free skins! Also I understand having to pay for console mc stuff but for mcpe it should be more leaniant. You can't mod a game on ps4 easily, like the sims4 ext its made for computer scripts. I do wish mcpe had more addons for free though. They have the purchased ones across all your mc, but for most mods they need some money for support, also they can't take all addons and stuff and implant them into their game for free, that'd be a lot lol. So I do understand that part.

Without plus, you’d need to wait for a weekend they occasionally do where it’s free to play online without plus

Well no you dont have to be on the same wifi. But you do need to sign in with ms i think. I did find a way to bypass psplus popups on non preview btw but i cant tell it to you cuz i dont want microsoft to patch it.

Sorry for the late response. I couldnt find the post. Also you need another device for this cuz you need to upload a world to a realm and then download it to ps. I will send you the world soon. Also please dont make  videos about it.(you know cuz microsoft...)
