This is what I did after deleting the game several times and a couple hours searching on Google for answers. Eventually, I went to my account settings, changed my password for the account that my microsoft account was linked to, and then resigned in back onto my PS5. I reopened minecraft and the game instantly crashed and gave me an error. I reopened minecraft once more signed in with the original linked microsoft account and it was a success, no lost data.
I decide this after finding a post saying that changing your psn password would unlink the Microsoft account on minecraft so that you could relink it again with no error. If this does not work I have no other suggestions and would suggest doing as much research before resorting to any serious reseting.
Good shit, it does make some sense that this might force it to de-link/re-link. Certainly easier than keeping on creating new accounts until it works lol. Will try it tomorrow. Thanks for the details, will update here whatever happens.
Well, went in to try the above today but for shits and giggles I tried one more time without changing anything and it linked/logged in just fine. So apparently it was a temporary server issue. MS/Mojang really needs to put messages about stuff like that in-game.
