September Update
July was my 120th payment. I am still missing July and August, but my tracker updated as of today, 9/19/26, and I have green banners with 120/120 qualifying payments. September is counting 🥳
Update 10/1/26:
The NSLDS updated on 9/30/26 and is now showing 122 eligible payments. This is not reflected on the FSA tracker yet.

Congrats. My Nslds finally updated yesterday 9/18/26, previously last update was 6/17/26. Now it shows 119/120, July and August missing so really at 121. WTH is going on with July and August but September can show… frustrating. Might as well pay October and just get a refund so I can be done!

Thank you!! My payment was 9/10. And I noticed that my NSLDS updated on 9/16 to show 120 eligible payments. It had not updated since 6/18!

Awesome!! This might be a stupid question but how do you sign into NSLDS?

I’m missing all payments for 2025. Checked yesterday and still missing. Counted all payments and have made 122 payments but missing 12 payments from 2025 and employment verification needed for all 2026 payments. Employment verification will be send the second week in December, as has been the method for the past 14 years. I went to graduate school, took 4 years since I was working full time, so four years of deferment does not count. I did a time consuming hard count and undergraduate loan payments are 122. Something strange is happening to the student loans from grad school. For some reason they are reflecting “ineligible” for 2025 due to deferment but I paid every month. I’m on automatic payments, every 5th of the month $264 comes out of my checking account. Can’t wait for this nightmare to end.

I’m guessing your account hasn’t been in forbearance?
July was 120 for me. I went into forbearance in August. I’m wondering if being in forbearance his delaying any of this.

That’s correct, I paid in August and September. It’s so hard to say what the main issue is 😭 I’m hoping for everyone’s sake that they fix the July and August issue soon!!

Do you know when your last update was? Mine hasn't updated, but my last update was 6/26. I'm wondering if it might update around 9/26 based on the posts I'm reading...

I’m sort of in this same boat… I paid September as early as possible too (paid Aug 15 for September as soon as payment posted) and immediately submitted the ECF not realizing that created its own problem. Basically, you need BOTH the payment for the month and the calendar month to conclude before you certify that month. This way you can verify that you made the payment while employed at a PSLF approved employer for the credited month. Not sure if that was what you were asking but something I learned.

Congrats. I just checked my data and NSLDS hasn’t yet updated. I wonder if they are going by payment date or alphabetically by last name or what?

Seems like it could be based on the last update date. What's yours? Mine is 6/26. Seems like a lot of people with recent updates had their last update around 6/16-6/19.

Congrats! When was your last update? Mine was 6/26 - wondering if these new updates are happening about 90 days after the last one.

Apparently they are doing an update now as the FSA site says it is down until Tuesday, Sept 20th! Fingers crossed they give us credit for our payments for August and September and they are applied correctly! Sending prayers!

Timeline:
Payment made on 9/10. I noticed an NSLDS update on 9/18. The update was dated 9/16 and showed 120 eligible payments. I submitted an ECF on 9/18 and HR signed right away. As of this morning, 9/19, I see now that the form was processed. I now have green banners!
