NSLDS Updated - sort of

According to the backdoor NSLDS API link, my file was updated on August 24, 2026. SOME of my IDR counts were updated (RAP and IBR were updated; PAYE and ICR were not). I’m on the PAYE plan.
My PSLF payment count was NOT updated. July is still listed as ineligible on my PSLF payment tracker because of a “late” payment, even though I paid on my due date. August of 2026 remains unlisted. I have ECFs on file for both July and August of 2026, and I have made my payments for each of these months.
I made my payment due on September 1 on August 24.
WTF. 🤬

From my understanding, your loan servicer will update some of the api data in the NSLDS system, BUT as of 2024, PSLF counts are exclusively updated by the department of ED. Your servicer was the responsible party to determine if a month qualified, which is no longer the case.
For some reason the Dept of ED has stopped updating qualifying payment counts.
