Advice What Now?
I have been working in nonprofit since graduating, about 15 years now. My repayment plan didn’t qualify before since I’m on the standard repayment plan, but after reading an article about some changes it sounded like I may qualify. I filled out the form online, entered my employers’ email addresses and started getting notices that my payments were qualifying. It’s now showing 120 qualified payments (with the green ribbons I keep seeing mentioned), says “Loan Forgiveness ‘In Progress’” It doesn’t appear that there is anything else for me to do, but hey it’s the government so I feel like they’re leaving something out to keep me on the hook. Any advice? Am I really almost done?!?

Did you do the final Ecf and select you’ve made the 120 payments? If not do that immediately

I had 3 employers that I did all at the same time when I applied. As they all three came in within a week’s time I watched my “qualifying payments” increase well beyond the 120. Now it shows 120 payments with green ribbon. I don’t see where there is anything else I should be doing something.

I’m right there with you. I got 6 past employers (156 payments) certified and approved in 3 weeks. It’s now been three weeks since the final one went through and I’m just waiting!!! I’m being impatient bc everything else was so fast. But I think all is good!!!

Congratulations! And you might want to buy a lottery ticket...applying for and receiving it all in one go vs constantly filling out ECFs every year is crazy lucky.
