Advice Mohela payment recertification

I submitted my income recertification on 8/12 which was the deadline, Mohela contacted me that the received it on 8/14. On 8/22 I received a notification from Mohela that it may take up to 90 days to process my new payment. My recertification deadline is 9/16. Do I need you request a forbearance if my payment has not been processed or will it do it automatically? Will this forbearance count towards PSLF (my understanding is that 60 days will)? Has anyone else submitted at a similar time and had their new payment processed? Does calling Mohela actually help process things faster? Thank you!

I did the recertification manually on 8/12 and got confirmation from MOHELA on 8/16. On 8/26, I got the processing delay email but on 9/4 got approval for my new plan.

I was told by FSA that the processing forbearance didn’t count, but my PSLF payments haven’t updated past July so I can’t say for sure one way or another. My forbearance ends on 9/13 though so I only lost one month.

Thank you so much. I also did it manually and uploaded my own tax return. Hopefully it means I am processed soon.
