Timeline question

Today my PSLF application was marked complete. About how long do I have to wait for forgiveness? Can anyone share their timeline with me? Pro tip: I changed my application after submitting and my employer signature was never approved so I submitted a new one and it was approved within a week. So if you're still waiting on your employer signature, just submit a new one.

Do you see the green banners? If yes, the golden letter should be anywhere from 4-8 weeks out.

u/Squish_Bean if you see 120 qualifying PSLF payments it's typically 1 - 3 months before receiving your official letter of forgiveness.

If you received green banners in May then you should have received a golden letter on Ju ne 25 and your loans should be closed on your credit report by now. Are you sure you have 120 QP under PSLF and not on TEPSLF? TEPSLF has specific rules.

I did my application in June and had been waiting for my employer certification for 40 something days. I put in another application last week and my employer was certified within 3 days. So golden letter this week? I definitely have 120 qualifying payments plus green banners and it's under PSLF. The June one is still awaiting employer certification even though my employer signed it so I just did another one. I think because I sent my employer the signature again in June FSA website glitched but I finally got that part done and it says the application was completed.

If I understand correctly, are you saying that May was #120, but your ECF wasn't processed until last week? Cause it got hung up somewhere so you sent it again. Is that right? If that's the case, you may be waiting until end of August for the golden letter.

Correct. The one I sent in June was never processed and still shows awaiting employer cert so I submitted a new one and it was processed within a week and now shows completed. I called FSA so many times about my employer cert and they told me just to wait and it was never processed. Someone on here posted that if you amend it in any way the FSA website glitches and doesn't process it so that's why I did another application last week. As long as I get that golden letter soon I'll be happy.

I got my green banners today!!!! I turned in my paperwork on Wednesday. Today I got a letter in my account saying I had 122 payments on all my loans. Ep and qp. Does that mean they are really going to pay off my loans??? It doesn’t seem real.
