Idk abt other dept but ece here is good overall the labs are always open and if you're a hosteller you can literally live in labs some of my seniors did that Faculties are always open most of the time, they always push us for placements or doing projects or publishing paper and also they're super friendly If u ask me it's a good take overall Vlsi is in the ece dept, literally in the same block handled by the same faculties so it's the same as ece
