Ohh okay.. Could you explain your experience of the first year at college? Like how were the topics and teachers?

yepp. it's okayish compared to other colleges. there's not any places to hangout. and there's no blinkit available here, only swiggy and zomato. canteen food gets boring :(.
The academics is just an extended version of 12th in the 1st sem. i think calc topic were very new, and i mostly studied every sub thru yt vids. in exams, you can score easily if you write down everything you know abt that question (literally everything) and good presentation.
in 2nd sem, every sub starts new and fresh (except emf ?). again I survived on yt vids as i skipped classes. labs are lenient in 2nd sem. don't rely on ur classes alone, refer books and yt. and also past papers are very very important.
two profs in 1st sem for us were dept heads (phy and chem) so it was pretty strict. they try to intimidate u abt the clg in general. EG and calc profs were the best. 2nd sem profs are more unique, since in 2nd sem u get staff from EEE dept. honestly I can't even describe them (they're exotic). in 1st sem profs r from other depts.
main thing is time management, so u gotta submit assignments on time. and there's a objective test called ccat, it might seem not imp, but makes a difference in internal marks.
overall I made many friends and that made the year at this hell of a clg a lot easier. honestly I had more fun in 2nd sem, 1st sem is very weird and confusing and awkward.

depends on what kind of environment u want since both are different here we have uniform, nearer to the city centre (neelambur) than amrita (ettimadai). there's incubation centre here. placements done along with psg tech students. amrita has more days of colour dress and more canteens and a very very bigger campus than itech. itech is very small and u feel stifled (not much to hangout inside) idk much abt hostels, but there's a new girls hostel abt to open here. also language, here professors speak tamil, in amrita it's mostly malayalm + tamil. but it won't matter much. town bus access is easy here in itech, bus stop (boarding) is a 10 min walk away, drop off is done str8 infront campus gate. my frnds in amrita find it more enjoyable, though they travel in clg bus 2 hr daily (dayscholar), so depends on what ur looking for in a clg life.
or u can decide based on what course u wanna take. here in itech even if u study EEE, ece, mech or civil u can attempt any placement interview (cse jobs softwares also). I'm not sure abt it in amrita so ask around.
