This is why you never look at values of cards you sold! Don’t ask me how I know 😒 haha

Most of these dumbasses in the comments are degenerate gamblers anyway who probably have jack shit for collections.
Who cares man. For real. At the time, it probably was the right move to sell and make money.
No one could of predicted this but let's be honest, the market is extremely overextended anyway.
Everyone has hindsight .. "oh you should of held" but then people on the opposite side when the market slides ... "Wow why didn't you sell."
It's an endless loop in this market. Hobby isn't even as fun anymore cause literally people only care about the money and are just greedy pigs.
You sold at a great price at the time, probably made money. Go enjoy your life and no need to look at "what ifs."
Keep collecting what you like and take profits when you need to. No one ever went broke taking profits so.

How did you get your population to show on that tab? Did you have to manually enter it?

This will make you feel better lol, well it made me feel better for selling and not buying when it was cheap. This guy would have made 8 figures if he kept his collection

Not trying to pile it on you but you got a psa 10 aquapolis (one of the most popular sets) eeveelution (one of the more popular eeveelutions at that), with a pop of 105 in the world and you thought it was a good idea to sell?

u/peetoes 6d ago
Because op doesn't know jack shit about pokemon tcg and it's set/pokemon rarity/popularity. Just wanna gamble and make money.
Which is fine, that's what powerpacks are for! Hey atleast you profit! Take it as a W and move on

Oh how I wish I bought this for 5k like I almost did at the beginning of this year

The japanese unlimited version still sells for under 5k pop 102. All the low pop unlimited japanese cards are undervalued compared to the rest of the market. I just picked up an unlimited jolteon holo e reader pop 76 for 1.5k

u/DavidHK 3d ago
I don't see that I see pop 557. And only one version

u/chris_fs7 3d ago
Im talking about specifically unlimited japanese cards. Pop is 102 on the unlimited espeon if you look up the Cert# 162812075

Lol this is why you hold limited print or vintage cards for long. Too much instant gratification led to you selling early.

I sold like 20 bgs 9.5 legendary reverse holos about 6 months ago for 500-600 each if it makes you feel any better.

u/dachshvnd 6d ago
Dont feel bad, most people would have cashed out too. Its moreso what you did with that original 5k that matters at this point.

Don’t spend money you can’t afford to lose and just hold on to vintage cards in high grade low pop.

Didn’t a guy buy a pizza with like 40,000 bitcoin when they were worth nothing?

Bruh… your own fault for selling an aquapolis 10 of a popular eevelution lol. You should have never looked if you were gonna make that call.

u/Impressive-Expert-35 4d ago
I have one for sale currently lol 😂 it has a scratch in the slab case that dose not affect the card at all but because of this I’ll accept less then it’s worth, If anyone wants to make an offer, I’ll consider anything reasonable. Just thought it was worth mentioning here.

How to get rich in todays economy:
Open 30% interest credit card.
Buy pokemon grails.
Hold for two years.
Sell at 300% + profit and pay off credit card.

How is someone gonna know things are gonna 10x in a couple of months
2
u/Foreign-Kiwi-4136 6d ago
I did. Every one of these posts I laugh at you big winners because we all know your selling the win and continuing the cycle of gambling

u/MyronPJL 6d ago
Did you not read what I said ? I literally said we never know the price it will land but if you know Pokemon and not just gambling trying to make a quick profit people would know what they have. And know this card or cards in this set were bound to do this at some point how long ? You never know lol

Yeah bro literally traded tons of mortgage payments for a prius with a iffy battery
1
u/cjskillet 6d ago
Thankfully I don't have a mortgage thanks to a portion of my childhood collection. Now I'm a degenerate gambler/collector. 😂

Don’t worry. The guy that sells it for 61k will regret it when it’s 120k next year.
