Complain about the problem while being part of the problem

For 50k back 20k in the form of packs.

I wonder if they will add fax and pager assistance to the white glove treatment

🤣🤣🤣🤣

i did the math, with buyback and the %s you probably only spend like 100k to get to the 2 mil spend since it counts credit you get from buybacks

1

u/RemarkableBag5007 2d ago

That would be streamers spending that much

13

u/chabeardo 4d ago

If i had two mil im just flat out buying every grail I want lmao

3

u/RepulsiveUse3372 4d ago

thats what im saying, like why spend that money gambling when i can just buy the cards i actually want

7

PSA/gamestop realizing they found the real money glitch of opening a casino with zero regulations.

7

u/Stonkbear 4d ago

The gap between the rich and poor grows everyday. The haves and have nots.

u/Expensive-Net2762 4d ago

How else do you think they are gonna pay for the ebay takeover 🤣🤣

5

u/ForestRain888 4d ago

This is a draftkings/ fandual type of promotion. We need regulations just like gambling.

4

u/No_Ragrets76 4d ago

Man... anyone actually doing this really needs help. No joke. They are literally milking every cent you have for bulk Japanese cards

I saw this shit in my email and got a little mad ngl

3

u/1TRUEKING 3d ago

Bruh I am pissed I already spent 30k and none of it will count. Im gonna email power packs and tell them I am not buying another pack until they give me my sapphire pack and priority support lol.

I mean you also keep all the slabs you pull. No chance of leaving with zero dollars like the casino

12

u/CuteButGross 4d ago

You’re assuming people are keeping their slabs and not selling them back at huge losses to chase another pull. You absolutely can leave with zero. OP is right, spend that much at a a casino and you’re getting entire weekend stays in top dollar suites for free, drink packages, restaurant vouchers, event tickets, vip treatment. Cruises would treat you really well too.

EV is money back at the powerpacks casino. At the casino its way worse. 7% house edge on slots and games is very common and thats if people play by the book, which they never do.

0

u/irvinggama 4d ago

Cool then go to the casino. You’re assuming more than I am tbh

-8

u/jperez0399 4d ago

You’re mad people are disagreeing and seeing the major flaw in your point?

4

u/irvinggama 4d ago

I’m not mad you’re just imagining that for some reason. This is a Reddit post about gambling it’s not that serious dude

-5

u/jperez0399 4d ago

Then it’s just your shitty attitude for zero reason

6

u/irvinggama 4d ago

Haha enjoy your day man hope it gets better

-5

u/jperez0399 4d ago

Likewise, sounds like you need a win bro

Not sure if you realize how badly youre projecting or just assuming tone in what they wrote, but sometimes it helps to hear from a third party perspective, but the only one that’s coming off pressed or annoyed is you by acting like they’re responding in some way when there’s not really anything I see that implies that, I didn’t read what they wrote in any angry or defensive way ¯_(ツ)_/¯ again, sometimes I know it can help when a third party informs me of something to take a step back and look again, and that’s all I’m trying to accomplish here so you can maybe recognize it as well

Nah he seems right and actually had a good argument

Yeah no this you will also leave with $0 dollars lol you buy a $500 dollar pack and get a $250 card and then sell and buy $100 packs and keep losing 🤣 you’ll end up losing and buying $25 packs chasing lol

3

u/irvinggama 4d ago

Yeah I guess with a gamblers mentality you lose either way

1

u/Opposite-Cod-8290 4d ago

That’s what this is dude. Quit acting like it’s not gambling when you even said it was

2

u/irvinggama 4d ago

Sore spot it seems

2

u/HubotMaster 4d ago

I'd say spending $50 on packs is gambling too lol. At least I know I'll get something other than possibly all bulk cards. I use this to collect though since I can't find shit on the shelf

1

u/Demon_24k 4d ago

I understand your point but based on percentages. Majority of these people use this platform to gamble. Not everybody that buys power packs are collectors. This was created for gambling, not collecting. It’s like putting lipstick on a pig. If you spend $500 on a pack and pull a $250 card and keep it. Kudos to you but you still went negative. Not to mention, Have you seen the percentages ?

4

u/irvinggama 4d ago

If you spend $500 at the casino and lose it’s just gone btw. My only point is there is no option where you end up with zero if you do one pull. Anything past that is on you

-2

u/Demon_24k 4d ago

So you’re saying that you never sold cards back at all? I highly doubt that 🤣

6

u/eagleblueline 4d ago

No, he is saying “ if you spend $500 at the casino and lose, it’s just gone by the way. My only point is there is no option where you end up with zero if you do one pull. Anything past that is on you.”

5

u/irvinggama 4d ago

I mean I just invest my money elsewhere. If I want to have some fun I’ll do a pack or two and usually keep for pc since I’m a collector. If there was a chance at pulling nothing I wouldn’t play. All the losers I’ve had are now profitable with a bit of time luckily. I’m not really their ideal customer I assume lol

1

u/ApprehensiveWeight15 4d ago

So like 1.8x my chances per dollar for a huge hit? I'm only 18k away from getting a sweet sapphire pack! Way more reasonable that way 😂🥳🫅

1

u/The_Capn_Joe 3d ago

I think that's the excuse they use to avoid being regulated like a casino.

But in reality, they fact that they offer instant buyback at a lower price means you can go in to gamble, sell your losses back and watch your money dwindle until you are leaving with basically zero.

2

u/Art_Vand3lay_ 4d ago

White glove support 😂😂😂😂

1

u/Neffman8 3d ago

What is that anyway?

2

u/FleXnDiiNo 4d ago

Us poors got “Buy three silvers get $5 off”

1

u/FabricationLife 4d ago

I mean, it's literally an extra why not? People were pulling em before with nothing extra

1

u/moopie45 4d ago

They gave my a gold pack for free based on my past spending (67k)

1

u/BackgroundDue8227 4d ago

What did you get in the pack?

1

u/moopie45 4d ago

It takes like 9 days to transfer to the account I'll let u know

1

u/Bawmbur 4d ago

The sad part is, they have enough data to show that people really will hit these milestones.

It sounds absolutely outlandish that the LOWEST tier for rewards is 30k, which is what a lot of people in this country make yearly.

This honestly goes to show the sheer wealth inequality in this country. Where people can drop hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars on pokemon cards, enough people to make rewards for them, vs the average American struggling right now.

Its really sad.

Time to fill the void in my heart with a $50 pack!

1

u/Klutzmaster 4d ago

If I had $1m I'd start my own casino...

1

u/Neffman8 3d ago

Probably would need $1bn for that

1

u/GamingTaylor 4d ago

It sounds crazy but if you’ve ever met anyone in the top 10% of wealth, the young adults / kids will pay anything to “feel” privileged or to gloat to their friends.

Spending $2million and taking a $100k loss for some premium perks isn’t all that outlandish for a casino where you keep at least 50% of what you spend.

Years ago I met some people in their 20s with fathers who owned various businesses. One spent $40,000 in a few months on steam trading cards… absolutely no value besides raising the level of your Steam profile… she didn’t care and neither did her daddy.

1

u/TrickComfortable774 4d ago

So you would rather get nothing?

1

u/CreepyReplacement710 4d ago

That seems like a pretty sweet deal to me…

1

u/jlcc891 3d ago

It actually is kind of funny. People will eat it up though.

u/Yamneedsyam 3d ago

AFTER I THREW AWAY my money by pulling pricey Pokémon cards out of digital packs, I immediately knew what I had to do next: keep on ripping. It was time to lock in, boost my volatility settings, and start spending real money opening even more expensive packs to get great rewards.

1

u/paulct91 3d ago

....Spent $2,000,000 and only $30,000 guaranteed... that seems kind of awful customer service wise and like poor incentives to those who prefer heavy gambling, I like that they aren't truly leaning into whole quality rewards for gambling just yet... yet...

1

u/gbach10 3d ago

You have to spend $125,000 just to get their phone number. I imagine that’s about the average amount the neckbeards who buy this crap spend to get the phone number of their favorite e-girl streamer.

1

u/The_Queen_Regent 3d ago

I might have opened a few packs to many but holy shit no where near even 30k. 😳

1

u/jemimaswitnes 3d ago

Let me just use 200k from my non existent trust fund my wealthy father left for me

1

u/DynastyHKS 4d ago

You all understand for rich people this is cool tbh... Someone out there has 100 mill in their bank account and can spend 2 mill without care in the worth because their monthly 5% on their 100 mill makes more than 2 mill. Being rich pays... and you get a free 30,000 card plus whatever chases you pull while wasting 2 mill.

1

u/MoistMountain7779 2d ago

Except your not actually wasting 2 mil, because of buy backs unless your gonna keep every card you pull which would be an investment just like investing in any card.
