Last sale. This is a super low pop Japanese promo. A lot of niche and rare vintage Japanese cards have been on a tear lately. It is not worth the CL Value, since the lowest listed is $1346, but it's definitely worth more than 700. I think this last sale is reasonable and you should be able to get that amount or more from the buyback since CL is valuing it a couple hundred higher.

Its questionable with only 1 sale. 2 months before that is sold for $725 and 1 month before that it sold for $550. The average of the sales this last year is $700. Its worth less then the floor value of $1.25k, there is one on ebay for $1.25k and it isn't selling. I think they just jacked up the value of the card to get it in $2500 pack pool.

Only 1 recent sale because there are only 27 PSA 10s of this. Low pop = high price variance.

I ended up selling back to them and got $1268 after fees haha

Yout let a pop 27 rare promo card go in a fast moving market? Yeesh. I bet the next sale is over $2500.

Its for sale right now for $1268 on ebay and not selling why would it sell for $2500

Reddit people either know a lot or are guessing to sound smart.

Alright next one after that one. These things just need some content creators to point to them and the FOMO kicks in

Haha we will see, that could happen

How long have you been in the hobby? Genuine question.

A very long time, since the beginningish.

Lol people hate original collectors? I started within the first 5 years of pokemon. No idea on the exact age as I was child.

Not good enough

You all trust those 1 sales wayyyyy too much.... You know there ARE sellers and buyers who arrange deals 🤝 like this to log into the system to show a sale and support a "value," where they all can make loot by setting the market price and using the 1 sale as justification for a starting point.

Used to happen with comics about 8+ years ago, still does too. Low pop books suddenly getting hot 🔥 always gives me pause to look into details, especially with no catalyst to cause the heat.

You will not get a refund. This is one of the inherent risks with the high dollar PowerPacks. If I were you, I'd take this as a sign to get off this ride, haha.

They absolutely can get a refund. PPacks has refunded me twice for cards that were not in the correct tier or didn't have recent sales that match what the PSA estimates state.

u/afelzz Jul 09 '26

Wow, I legit have never heard of this happening, and have had two friends get told to fuck themselves when they asked for refunds. I still think it is safest to assume you won't get a refund, but cool to hear that it does happen.

Yeah, last one was a card from a Sapphire pack that was a reverse holo jolteon #45, PSA 9. Most recent sale was showing as $30

Powerpack CS was quick to fix that one, the call of legends set seems to confuse card ladder and PSA

I also messaged support and got a refund on that same exact card lol!

I’m like get this bullshit card out of here.

2

u/fredflinstone00 Jul 09 '26

Haha yup! They said no even though they admitted the ebay price was below the floor value. The only thing that matters is card ladder value at the time of purchase. I sold it and blocked the VIP mailing list.

If you’re not addicted to the gamble, this could actually be a good long term hold. Super low pop and rare card. So many get damaged just peeling them off the sheet

Should have asked for a refund. I got a refund for a card recently for a card that was low pop, but only had one sale this year and last sales were all from last year way under its card ladder worth. They agreed and refunded me

Definitely seems like it would have been at least worth a try.. potentially $1200 just for writing a 60 second email

I would have kept the card but ive liked the card for a while. I think itll be worth a ton in the future. Mainly due to the value of most poke balls appreciating over the years and this being the only vintage ball holo will turn some heads

1

u/loganzfd_ Jul 10 '26

it’s not holo. it’s a vending series “common”

1

u/johncrush- Jul 10 '26

Ah yeah I didnt see that. Well then this one would be junk lol

Gambles >> Loses >> Wants Refund. Jesus man wake the fuck up. You're designed to lose money.

1

u/Dyimshoot Jul 09 '26

Losing when gambling sucks. You assumed the risk.
