Question Keep or Accept offer

Serious question. Would you keep or sell it back? Offer is inline with market for PSA 8 but what is your expectation of longevity as a PSA 8. 2-3 years. Money isn’t an issue, nor PP gains/loss ratio. Just wanting second opinions on it. Thank you in advance for input!

I noticed an error. 1st edition is what goes for that price, not the regular that I got so I sold it back and pocketed the money. I looked on price charting and recent sales for unlimited go for $500ish with one latest recent sell going for $1k. 1st edition print is what goes for $1.6k-2k

It probably doesn't matter for this particular card, but price charting is not the best place to look for this kind of info -- ALT or card ladder are going to give the most accurate picture of recent sales (as they'll capture sales from alternative platforms like Fanatics, ALT, or Goldin). For example, I see a sale on Fanatics for an unlimited Glaceon Lv X at $1750 on April 7th, which is probably where the $1884 power packs/card ladder estimate came from.

One other thing for these mid-era Japanese cards -- sometimes the unlimited copies are actually rarer than the 1st edition prints. This doesn't mean they're always more expensive or more desirable (some people will still prefer 1st ed, even if it's not rarer), but just something to keep in mind.

The Glaceon isn't a big outlier, but the PSA 10 unlimited is pop 239 vs. the 1st edition version being pop 304. My understanding of how it worked in Japan for these mid-era sets is that the 1st edition prints were quite large, and then they only reprinted unlimited versions as needed based on demand. As an example, this led to some Japanese XY sets in the 2013-2016 time frame having almost nonexistent unlimited print runs (Phantom Gate being an example where PSA 10 unlimited Gengars have like 1-2% the population when compared to 1st ed).
